Unless there's something I'm missing, this strategy makes no sense. If you pick one straight up you might get the lower of the two, but if you bench both you definitely will!
Just take a gamble they both score 40+ and then you'll be happy.

Who would you play ?

Hinchliffe can take a 3fa or bowl 1 over like he did last game.

Given most people will have the same 10 players it might be something different to do.

I think there should just be finals every round.

909 for me, which was 273rd for the week and up to 344 overall.

Morris C, only fail was Salt, so pretty happy ?

When the bowler/allrounder path with Hales and Salt the only non bowler/allrounder, so one came off and one not.

2 top 400 overall last 2 weeks sees me up to to 344 after being as far out as 2,289 after round 7.

After the first three finals have been won by the team batting first, I wonder what decision will be made by the captain winning the flip?
So far the results at the MCG favour the team batting first: 4-2. The first two games at the G were won by the team bowling first but the next four by the team batting first.
Bowl first: 142-143 (18.5 overs); 145-148 (17.5 overs)
Bat first: 219-175; 141-131; 186-115; 142-99
The Stars are 2-2 bowling first; 2-0 batting first. However, they bowled first when they beat the Thunder earlier in the season.

I reckon it’s the pitch that will decide wether to bat or bowl first

Right at this point historical record and pitch is irrelevant in my view. If you were Callum Ferguson you would be crazy not to make the Stars chase and if you were Glenn Maxwell you would be crazy to elect to.

Lesson learnt about worrying about team value during the year. Another round with my team stacked and 400 grand in the kitty. Thats with expensive players on the bench. If they were cheapies, id have 600k plus in the bank.
Could’ve been a different story easily if Hobart won with DShort and Wade costing $540k together. We got a bit a lucky.
