May as well open the BBL11 thread too then if he's signed up for that season! ;)
I think Archer and Buttler are back next season as well.

Looks like they are touring India pre T20 World Cup then going back for the Tests in January - March ?

Sydney Thunder BBL Squad vs Stars, 6 February at MCG

Callum Ferguson (C) (12)
Jonathan Cook (50)
Brendan Doggett (35)
Matt Gilkes (22)
Alex Hales (6)
Usman Khawaja (18)
Jay Lenton (70)
Nathan McAndrew (44)
Chris Morris (24)
Arjun Nair (7)
Alex Ross (49)
Daniel Sams (60)
Chris Tremain (20)

Matthew Gilkes has been included in the 13-player squad as wicketkeeper Jay Lenton’s ‘shadow’ due to Lenton and his wife Gemma expecting the birth of their first child ‘any day’.

“Jay really wants to play, he’s been sensational for us since he was given his chance behind the stumps,” said Bond.

“We’ll give him every chance to play, but his priorities are with his family and with what’s happening there... and while he’s keen to play, there’s just some things that are out of your hands and even more important.”

For me its not a matter of how long it’s been between games or reserve days, the rain could have been a week earlier, it’s still supposed to belt down Sunday which would have been the reserve day so it is what it is, but this is hit and giggle cricket designed to draw in fans so they gotta be more flexible in a clear situation that’s going to wash out, not to mention the charity match as well. To me they should find a way to move it, agree sixers earned the right, but comon! so if they need to know now then go to a neutral venue, Adelaide for mine the people love their cricket and will turn up regardless.

Edit : by the way I’m a sixers fan

I agree with this.

Imagine not having an AFL grand final because of conditions ... clearly it's a different game, but they would find a way.

Any reason why we can't just come back the next week, like the old AFL grand final replay?

I’m slowly working my way around the country to all grounds, did the scg for 20 years, now gabba is my annual test for the last 20 as well when I was a kid, made it to the waca not long ago but did the first d/n test at Adelaide a few years ago and was blown away, Mecca is to get to the G but if I’m going to go I have to be there Boxing Day and that’s difficult with family etc, I love all the grounds each one has its own special part. Adelaide really was an amazing ground, I do wish I saw it before the rebuild but can’t do it all.

Be curious to see the attendances for the Big Bash games this season , based on TV the Eastern Stand top deck hasn't looked like it has been open at all for most games + the top level of the Riverbank Stand either.

Don't think the NYE was a sell out either.

Pretty poor they have waited this long to change it. I think it should of never been before the final anyway. Imagine if Lee was swinging the ball, or Warne was getting a heap of spin, could change the team selection or captains choice at the toss you shouldnt be able to see how the conditions are playing beforehand.

Imo CA only scheduled it before the final as they wanted to make the bbl final crowd numbers look good.
