I reckon Chapman is almost certain to retire. He played 3 good games in the first four and after round 4 I remember he said on radio he never wanted to be a liability and at least contribute something for the side in his last year. He then had a four (?) week injury that lasted 14.

Yeah I agree doubt he will play on next year.

It will be interesting to see eos. I hope he still has hunger to play on if his body still willing. Still can average 25 possessions and kick goals.

Anyone reckon Howe could be used in an Andrew Walker style role next year? Has a similar style of game so maybe the new coach will make the switch.

I seriously doubt Howe has running capacity of Walker. He is seriously quick and would probably outrun Garlett, Yarran, Armfield and Betts over 100 metres if he needed to. They probably quicker than him over the first 30 or 40 metres though. His kicking is fairly reliable most times, Still pains me to see him wasted down back when we miss so much of what he can do for our team in front half. Howe I'm not sure is that quick and see him more as a great mark and not sure versatile enough to add quick and elite rebounder from backline. Don't see enough Dee games to be sure of his full capacity to run and carry.

I'm not so sure Martin is a lock.

It just seems to me that it has taken quite some effort for the Tigers, in particular Mark Williams, to get Martin to go to the next level. Even though he promises another good season, in my mind he is just as likely to rest on his laurels should he get the nice big deal he wants. The added possibility of Williams going elsewhere leaves me wondering if Dusty will slip back a little next season.

Contract issues i think is to blame for his bad game on the weekend. Will be top 3 if still Forward. Biggest lock in SC for me.

If both parties can't agree on the renumeration, Martin could be playing somewhere else next year. Melbourne and GWS could offer a huge contract @850K per year. Brisbane and GCS also have the money to offer at least 750K a year.

Unless he wants to come play for the Swans..... we can only offer 650K :(

Anyone else think Dangerfield is a chance for Mid/Fwd next year? Sando had started him in the pocket at times this year and with their lack of forwards has kicked more goals than any other crows player. Nothing says he should be a forward more than the fact he kicks more goals than the others.

He will go very close to being a MID lock for me DPP or not, and definitely if he has DPP. I haven't seen too many ADE games but the ones I have seen he does seem to spend a decent amount of time as a resting FWD.

Dangerfield is definitely a lock for me if given FWD eligibility (may not be one of my starting 4/5 MID premiums if MID only, but I'd anticipate him being part of the 8 by mid season).
Martin and Rockliff will be MID/FWD still and therefore locks.

The best Geelong option will be Christensen and I will try to squeeze him into my starting configuration. Great ceiling, and more consistent than Motlop in my opinion.

Other options to consider: Mayne, Pavlich, T. Walker, Gunston, D. Thomas and Wellingham

Thoughts on Robbie Gray. Averages 90 odd without the two games he was sub, and this is coming off a brutal knee injury.

I think Gray might be the fill-in not the first choice.
Once all the first choice players and rookies are chosen, if Gray's price fits the puzzle, then he is in.

yes he is in my watchlist for 2014.

Likely not unless he played a lot of time in the FWD line.
But I think more he starts in MID and rotates to FWD line.

I'm worried about Rockliff. Will he keep his DDP? He has always been my first ones picked but if he loses his DDP into a MID only, he might not make my starting team next year.
