Young would be the one for me. Can see him coming in pretty early but he’s pricey.

Rankine seems a fair chance for R1.

Seems a bit pricey to park on the bench and he seems to be struggling with AFL training a bit. I'm not sure he plays consistently when he does get a game. He's great for looping though.

Gould, Butts, Greaves, McLennan all not options.

Kennerley for Geelong also named for Monday game. If Gould doesnt get up from injury, will be relying on K, Tobe Watson or Brander to not overspend bench.

Happily will put pickett on bench if it means an expensive quality mid rookie is selected over Bezercker, Mcasey who havent shown yet they justify their higher price.

Interesting, all I’d heard was how good a preseason he had had. Agree too pricey for a fdtp, happy to get a free look if not selected rd 1.

The Irish guy is D/F is $ 102k , might work with Dawson & Hill forward , certainly would need adequate coverage from King & Rankine though so maybe not the best idea

Good pickup re Kennerley, I have now added him.

Gould is not injured from my understanding, just not selected. I think Brander sounds likely and I'm hoping for Williamson so I don't need to rely on McAsey/BZT/Ash on bench.

O'Connor D/F from my analysis was a pretty decent V/C loop. Haven't done the analysis from a rookie loophole perspective but seems like I should!

Hibberd as a mature ager and Rankine and McHenry in his second year probably better chances of stringing games together. I like Bomber18's suggestion of Brander even if he misses rnd 1.

Half way through Marsh 2 and below are the Rookies who've either played both or M2 and had >50%TOG (except for Rowell & Anderson who were obviously rested for the 2nd half of M2).

Let's hope Sunday/Monday batch shows a lot more promise!

Would like to get your outlook on the GWS Rookies if you have one and don't mind sharing...

Ash - real attacking HB option, could he and Cumming be battling for a R1 spot considering Williams is missing.
Caldwell & Green - I think Caldwell has senior rank here but I loved what I saw from Green in M1. Taranto and Ward delay start will open up a spot or two, but you also have Hately on the radar. I can see both starting R1 but who goes for Ward.

I currently have those 3, based on roles available and potential for playing a string of early games: Caldwell>Green>Ash.

For some1 who plays like Cripps i think Green should play the other 2 can play a CP game but GWS are kidding themselves if they dont have a Cripps type player in their side

Don't laugh but I have Zach Guthrie pencilled in as well at $ 190 k
