[Rowsus]

From the scientific reports I have read one infected person is likely only to infect 2-3 others.

That is called the infection rate.
Countries handling this well have that number below 1. Countries handling it poorly are running at 3 to 5.
Unfortunately Aus is A+ in some areas on this matter, But E or F on others. Because of this, until Aus does more, the number will be 2 to 3.

behind closed doors is the preferred option , otherwise cancel the first 4 rounds altogether and re-assess

Is confirmed,but AFL said it’s subject to change . Apparently some players aren’t happy about playing with no crowd and want season postponed.

Yep, closed doors rd 1 and then week to week from then on depending on government and medical advice.

Interesting. At least SC has the 3300 system so points allocated will remain the same. It may be better for players with less fitness base.

That shouldn't even be in the conversation!!!!

Amazing how the countries around the world are postponing games for the welfare of humanity but the afl over right the government in choosing how they want to run things so they wont loose any money from betts and gambling , so much for it being the peoples game.

We’re at the very start of this, if they’re cancelling/postponing games now, there’s no way that the games will be open to the public in 6 weeks time. It will end up a season played behind closed doors or not played at all.

They mentioned a couple of days ago,the bye weeks could be used to play postponed games. Hopefully this virus disappears as quickly as it started.
