Does this make Dangerfield an avoid? Round 1 vs. Giants in Sydney. Will likely cop the de Boer tag. Maybe start with someone else instead then trade to him before Round 2 when he plays GC?
He is still a goal kicking midfielder so impact on the scoreboard should still give him good pts if he went fwd after being tagged as a MID

The shortened season changes the dynamic. He needs some good spike scores early. If he just pumps out 80 after 80 that probably isn't enough.
Would that apply to all rookies? Agree to a certain extent, but, Rowell is a lock in everyone's team. JS is gold, who would you play in his place @ $123k without knowing lineups Thursday night? The higher priced rookies probably give you a higher scoring opportunity with JS vs the lower priced rookies. Or would you downgrade a premium for a midpricer.

As mentioned in a previous post I would not replace with a rookie. I have cash for pre rd 1 contingencies although no one expected the current scenario. D Smith from fwd to Rowells spot. Rowell value plus cash to fund a spec fwd. More cash to move J Steven to T Lynch (Tiger variety). Both the fwds would have job security.

Sooo, with prices now changing after 2 games, I presume that means that good / bad scores also drop out of the rolling average after 2 games (instead of 3). Is this correct, or is it the usual 3 games after the initial price change?

I reckon this is something pretty important that we need to find out.... 3 game rolling avg or 2 game rolling avg.

I suspect it'll still operate off a 3 round average despite the earlier price increases. This is how they've done it in BBL SC and AFL Fantasy I think.

The first "score" I think will be based off the player's price i.e. for a rookie might be 20, so their first price rise after two rounds would be based off (20,55,55).

Those better with magic number related concepts probably can offer a better explanation!

As others have said, never have I felt so underwhelmed, despondent, and downright apathetic toward the start of an AFL/VFL season, the first time ever. Partly because of the compromised start to the season, and partly because I'm pretty certain it will be further compromised within a week or two. With that said, I'm just running with an experimental team now that I would never dare to start in a "normal" season, as this season will forever have an asterix against it in my mind. Let's see how it goes. Sorry to be so downbeat, and absolutely no disregard towards the far more important things going on in the world today, just a reflection of my sombre mood and disappointment.

Way I understand it:
Still 3-RD rolling average
First price movement after two rounds
The Rd 1 and Rd 2 scores are augmented by the player's 'priced at' score to yield 3 scores
From Rd 3 onwards (or third game onwards), standard procedure.
Consequence: Rd 1 / first score affects two price movements in that case (might be relevant to those who could cop a tag in Rd 1, like Danger / Oliver (less likely), I guess)

I don't have a link sorry but this was confirmed by Herald sun reporter on twitter last night.
