So as expected the backline rookies will need some investment right?

BZT, Noble, Cumming, Mcasey, Brander, Williams (ruck), Starcevich - did I miss any?

Personally going for all of the above except Cumming with shaky JS due to Zac Williams return, and Williams handcuffed to NicNat in rucks.

Ok cool, i see the reasoning, but don't like the idea as i think there'll be plenty of better scoring rookie defenders and if NicNat does go down, can be downgraded to Jacobs or Naismith...
You have piqued my interest.

Are these better scoring rookie defenders same or less price than Williams , if so be very interested to find out who they are.

I guess one of the main reasons for handcuffing Williams to Nic Nat is to save a trade if it's only one game , assuming of course then that Williams actually plays himself

Haha technicalities... 'rookie priced' i should say... I currently have Brander, Noble, BZT, Guthrie, McAsey ahead of him and even Gould, Watson, Young, Hill ahead with prob better JS... but obviously most are more expensive, but that's why we love this game...

Damn I thought you must have discovered someone that had suddenly miraculously appeared ?

I am not sure yet what to do with him if he is named in their final 22 this afternoon , play him as D8 or R3

Seems like a host of cheap fwd rookies. Tempted to have 4 of them in my starting line-up:

Taylor, Sturt, King, Xerri, Davis, Cavarra all seem like options.

Any preferences?

Most people seem to be "handcuffing" Williams at R3 which kinda makes sense if NN is your R2.
I don't have NN so does it make sense then to plonk Williams on my def bench or forgo him at all?

Wait and see with teams and if he is named I guess. But if he's playing even if you don't have NN he's a bargain basement def rookie of which there are not many this year so you could still go with him?

However I'm weighing up importance of having a donut for loophole against cash generation this season....is everyone going in with everyone playing?

They all make me nervous and feel like 50-60 type players to me

Taylor - if he makes the final 22 he'll be in my side
Sturt - reckon his JS is okay, can't see too many scores above 70, could envisage plenty in the sub 50 range
King - reckon you have to pick him
Xerri - dont think he is best 22?
Davis - interesting one, mature age of sorts, 23 this year...might be one I go with
Cavarra - preseason bolter, I think pick him

Cavarra, King, Taylor (assuming he gets picked haha), Sturt, Davis, Xerri

So 4 seems ok, right?

With rebounding defenders doing well last night, I'm trying to find a structure that has Budarick at F6.

That has meant I'm only running one rookie fwd on field however.

So you are loading up on rebounding defenders?

Edit: or you think the rookie defenders will play a rebounding role and score well so you are loading up on rookies in defence?
