I made my earlier comment without thinking too much, I forgot it's panic stations at the moment with the last minute SC tweaking...! XD
So you are loading up on rebounding defenders?
Edit: or you think the rookie defenders will play a rebounding role and score well so you are loading up on rookies in defence?
A little bit of both. I'm now very comfortable with Roberton, Noble and BZT types on field. Brander/B.Williams/Starcevich, I'm not as sure. But seeing guys like Weitering go something like 50DT/100SC and even SPS going 60DT/110SC and Baker going 46DT/91 SC, makes me a bit more confident in Noble/BZT. Even Liam Jones & Astbury went 37 DT / 64 SC and 49DT / 90SC respectively.
I brought in Whitfield and Laird. Whitfield I'm still not certain on but Laird is one I definitely want.
Budarick plays a rebounding "intercepting" role so I think he could score really well. You'd hate to miss a 90 because he's stuck at M11 rather than F6.
I'dm still a little cautious about reading too much into it, I think the game played last night won't be typical of many sides, was a pretty ordinary standard but who knows, certainly hasn't been any scoring changes I'm aware of but understand it couild be a fall-out of reduced time, still like to see more. Unfortunately though regardless of reduced time I expected tonights game will also suit Caleb Daniel and Crisp.
I'd be very wary of reading anything into a data set with a sample size of 1. It's one game out of hundreds. I'm probably not going to load up on players with neck tattoos because Dusty scored well. Better to stick with what we know, than make sweeping inferences based on one game of footy.
Yeah look, I agree with those points. It's only one sample size so we shouldn't read into it
too much but it is also the only sample size we have to go off to get somewhat of an insight into the effect of the shorter games. There were too many "intercept" defenders with abnormally high DT / SC ratios for me to ignore. Will be interested to see if that trend continues with your J.Howe and Moore types tonight.
