No evidence as yet but I have sneaky suspicion that players from winning sides will score more this season. Only reason I have for scores like Heeney and Shiel...!
Apart from Grundy, Shiel has had the most impactful first half for a player from this round so far. He had a hand in a large amount of the stoppages.

Heeney has been in a lot, but more like a 70-75 point half rather than an 90 point one.

Edit: as I type he gets a goal. Blokes gonna hit 150+ now.

Reckon the umps have Heeney in their SC. Gave away a clear free late in that qtr which would’ve resulted in a crows shot at goal but wasn’t paid. Instead ball rebounds out of the 50 and comes back in for a Heeney intercept mark + rebound 50 effective kick pretty sure. Probably a 20 pt swing in pts right there.

Yeah I’d do that I reckon, cash generation will be king in a short season.
You have 30 trades - question is do you still need to have Gawn back in by seasons end?
You'd have to hope Gawn fails to meet his B/Es or has one mare of a game early in the season I suppose.

Yep, quick in and out maybe 2-3 rounds to make some coin.

People don’t seem to be getting their heads around how the scoring is impacted.

What’s changing is the variance of scores. Low scores get worse, and high scores get inflated. Because the implication is that what the players are doing in the shortened game, will be extrapolated identically as if they are playing a full quarter. This is the only way for the 3300 to be catered for, which is why we are seeing extreme scores.

You can look at at Heeney having 8 touches, and say that’s not worth 89 points under the old scoring (ie Full length quarters). Because it’s not. The 89 is a (full game) inference based on what he’s done in the limited time.
