Yep, quick in and out maybe 2-3 rounds to make some coin.
Thats what I'm thinking - I'll have to have a look at the fixture for the next few games.
Easier cash generation than a slow burn rookie cash cow.
Upgrade Naismith back to Gawn and keep the change?!

People don’t seem to be getting their heads around how the scoring is impacted.

What’s changing is the variance of scores. Low scores get worse, and high scores get inflated. Because the implication is that what the players are doing in the shortened game, will be extrapolated identically as if they are playing a full quarter. This is the only way for the 3300 to be catered for, which is why we are seeing extreme scores.

You can look at at Heeney having 8 touches, and saying that’s not worth 89 points under the old scoring (ie Full length quarters). Because it’s not. The 89 is a (full game) inference based on what he’s done in the limited time.
Good stuff mate!! Great explanation!!

I wish we’d have known this before the round started, lol

Crazy thought (depending on SC scores or if Gawn has a stinker) would you trade OUT Gawn and IN Naismith! o_O:unsure:
could b 100k flip in price between the 2 come rnd 3 and maybe even more if u have the xtra cash on some1 with a very low BE going into rd2.

That was a terrible decision from the umpire regarding the ‘push in the back’. Then made even worse by the 50m penalty (which was warranted)

I had Lloyd as an uber-premium in my side originally and had some concerns that Dawson would pinch some of his role.
Nearly went with Dawson as a cheaper alternative.
Ended up a choice out of Dawson, Howe (ouch:cry:) and D.Houston.
(Would have gone with Laird but needed the extra 40k for a high price rookie)
Went with Houston in the end because of his midfield role.
Hopefully this score for Dawson (so far) is just an aberration - then again it would be nice if his price drops and I might consider picking him again at a cheaper price;)
He's come back this quarter, hopefully a big last quarter and pushes 80.

Haven't played SC in years - took we a while to get used to the extra ruck and midfielders plus the 3 on the bench midfield - let alone "My Corona" changes.
Its a real lottery, have to try and think outside the box to get a result I think.
Understanding the scoring would help - I used to have a pretty good handle on how it worked but there have already been a few 'unexpected' scores this Round.

This is true but I think the problem is that the have is moving to fast for the prolific ball winners to amass big possessions each game. Where there usually was a kick, handball 1, 2 around a stoppage I'm seeing quicker kicks forward blind. This will favor some IP players but I think this will change weekly meaning chasing points will just cause headaches.

There are going to be big scores each week but they will come more from forwards and defenders I reckon. Midfielders are going to take a massive hit as their scores will come down. Going to be volatile that's for sure. Stacking yr team with 22 rucks will work well.
