Is Sam Sturt looking like a must have? Didn't watch the game. 61 DT to 100 SC, and that seems boosted because of his late goal. Does he seem like he can maintain a 60-70 average as a forward? Does he tackle and also use the ball well? Take marks?
Thanks in advance

Why compare to DT though when DT scores are going to be 20% less than last season's scores for everyone ?

If my maths is correct - and it very likely isn’t lol- are you suggesting that Sturt would have scored an extra 12 DT points (0.2 x 61 = 12.2) in a normal 20 minute game for his performance yesterday?
I mentioned DT to SC because we have used that as an indicator to see whether scoring is sustainable, if that makes sense. He kicked 3 goals, which for a rookie usually isn’t the norm, plus the weighting his score got for when he kicked his goal. Plus his final goal was a ‘free kick for’ so I think that’s a few more points?
I’m just trying to get an overall picture of how well he actually played

I've got no idea to be honest.

Given the game has been cut my 20% and DT/Fantasy have set scores for each action by a individual player I just assumed (maybe wrongly) that all DT/Fantasy would be lower than previous seasons because their is less time available.

Personally find the DT:SC comparisons can over complicate things too much as they are 2 different scoring systems.

I guess in the DT/Fantasy players are scored equally & fairly on what they actually do in the time provided to do it , which is a lot clearer and not biased in anyway

You are right though , he probably won't score 3 goals per game and weighting should be taken into account , similar to how Son Son's average last season is "over inflated" due to 2 match winning goals late.

I’d back in Sturt for a poor game next up. Normally you’d wait that extra week but this year is different. Small forwards are either feast or famine usually.

I've had a **** of a weekend family emergency wise, which means I've made a number of mistakes and my rookies are all over the shop.

Are there any viable rookies left today in mid and or defence? As I've still got Bonar/Robertson on my bench. Thanks for any help offered.

I'm thinking of skipping Sturt and Georgiades and dropping some overpriced players given the scoring looks volatile. There were some good rookies that missed round 1 and might be available soon. The question is trading a $100k rookie for a $150k rookie vs a premium that might drop $100k. I might do 1 of each. Drop a premium and pick up a better rookie. Dunkley down to Prestia, Coniglio or maybe further to a Viney (see how he goes today).
It's now a matter of using trades just for the sake of it!

Can't help feel it's all for nothing but how else am I going to waste my time. I do have a skipping rope covered in cobwebs.

Could also try Brander if you don't already have him, or Def-Ruc Williams from WC ... who is not playing this week but is some chat to play next week. I have both.

Also Kropinyeri-Pickett or Bedford (doesn't look great but he's playing) from Mel if you need a fwd rookie. If you had someone like Trac (M-F) you may be Ablett to swing something via DPP.

Hibberd as a DTP if you think he'll get a run soon.

All updated

Based on that we could probably play onfield :-

D:
M: Pickett , McInerney , Rowell , Brown
R: NA
F: Sturt , Taylor , Georgiades

Defence would have caused issues especially with Roberton failing as well.

some might find this useful to start planning again ? or a reminder of how bleak most of the rookies went in Round 1 ?
