With the 186 sitting there for two rounds. All he needs is x2 80s and I reckon the trade is worthwhile
I reckon he would have been a keeper if season went ahead as planned b4 shutdown losing the Captaincy making him eager , at the right age and actually really fit with the Guru in. Just question marks now with the shutdown.

Just to clarify,
Viney's 186 will still be counted for the next 2 rounds and Viney's previous season average score, 81, will drop, yeah?

QUICKER PRICE MOVEMENTS: Player price changes begin after Round 2 (or after a player has played two matches) to account for the shortened season, one week earlier than in previous seasons. So a cheap player like Fremantle’s Sam Sturt is set to jump in price after his next game after scoring 100 in his first match. Likewise high-priced players who flopped in Round 1 are set for a likely price drop next round. You’ll need to make trades this week to get on (or off) before the first price changes.

Note that we will continue to use a three-round rolling average to calculate prices. For Round 2, the third score used will be based on the previous season average score that each player was priced at – then returning to normal after the third round. Check out our FAQ below for details.

Mate, you are so ahead of the game, you are selling a vowel and have the car!

So 5 trades, good chance we should be using 3-4 and the extra trade(s) may help some blow themselves up earlier is the thinking.

Viney for an underperforming mid looks sensible. cash grab and hope he delivers a couple of 100's as a minimum.

Just not sure on Howe. Had an average first 10 games, then post injury went ok before bombing against Essendon. Has his role changed or do we just accept Bulldogs forward line is hopeless. Looking at other games and interceptors like Sicily, The Gov etc, no other spike scores. Is it one week Howe one week Crisp.

On Geo, still looks ok however he previously had 4 easy games now he has Freo/Adelaide which are ok then Eagles/Brisbane. If he holds his spot, will be ok, cash generation looking treacherously poor this year, hence the Viney trades make sense.

Hopefully Bailey W plays for WCE and Xerri gets a game and we can go Roberton to a R3 to free up cash rather than upgrade.

In relation to Howe, I recall spotting an inverse relationship between Moore’s presence and his scoring last year. They both played and scored well in the finals, but personally I wouldn’t be expecting Howe to keep scoring at premium levels unless something has changed versus last year.

I think anyone taking play on kick ins is gonna do even better than last year in my eyes as they will have possies on board and no time to seagull it up late.

Hopefully we see higher scoring based on shortened quarters, so in my mind gun midfielders would be the go vs midpricers. Anyway, we'll soon find out whether cash gen with a midpricer vs G n R will work out. If we have price changes after 2 weeks, expect to see a lot of variation in scoring, both ways. I'm looking at getting Cripps, and Mitchell should be ready to explode, the break would have done wonders for him.

Howe is really does fit the perfect bill of a guy who goes bananas and then reverts to his classic 85-92 av....would that be an ok win for an early cash grab considering our trade tally?...

I'm looking at Howe and thinking that the rules changes suit him. Short quarters, faster ball movement, more chance to intercept? and no one picks em off like Howe. If I'm Buckley I'm freeing him up as much as possible....anyone else see it this way?

Wonder if he would end up playing small if they had Roughead,Dunn,Moore in the backline.

By Marc McGowan on Mar 8, 2020,

Collingwood has signed veteran defender Lynden Dunn, who is coming off a second successive knee reconstruction, to another one-year rookie deal via the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP).

He hasn't played senior footy since round 15, 2018 when he ruptured the ACL in his left knee against Gold Coast. He then re-injured the same knee during the 2019 pre-season, wiping out the entire year.

However, Dunn is nearing full fitness again and the Pies view him as valuable key defensive support for Darcy Moore and Jordan Roughead.
