Feel like I need to use trades, don't necessarily want to (pre selection).

Roberton Out is 1.

My next trade would be Macrae or Tim Kelly - strong cases to keep both though

Closely looking at a Dunkley to Heeney trade instead of the more popular Viney route. Frees up some cash and likely to give me someone I won’t need to trade out (I hope ?)
I'm sure Rowsus or someone has better analysis on Heeney and the impact when Buddy is out injured but my worry is his scoring will suffer if played solely as a forward

Since 2017:
I Heeney with L Franklin: 97.11 from 45 (11/45 below 80, 22/45 below 100, 10/45 120+)
I Heeney without L Franklin: 97.29 from 17 (6/17 below 80, 11/17 below 100, 2/17 120+)

If Naismith is out, I might trade him and get Gawn in:

Naismith out plan:
Out: Naismith, Brayshaw, BZT, Green, Cavarra
In: Gawn, Georgiades, Rankine, Bennell, Young

Naismith plays plan:
Out: Brayshaw, BZT, Green, Cavarra
In: Viney, Georgiades, Bennell, Young/Doedee (+ perhaps Pitonet?)

If Naismith is out, I'll probably trade him to Sam Jacobs.

I'm hesitant to spend 700k on Gawn this year, even with his soft draw. I reckon the money can be better spent elsewhere.

Heeney can be frustrating and unreliable, however Viney is usually quite underwhelming himself. Heeney was in and out of my team last year, but when he was out I hated watching him because he could just go on a burst at any stage and smash you. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t ?

I am thinking of trading Tom Lynch to Jacobs via Xerri DPP. Naismith is going to be one of the better cash cows in my opinion so dont want to trade him out.

Yeah it probably depends how long Naismith is out for though. If it's more than a week, I'd be happy to trade him out and then back in again when he returns. We have plenty of trades this year to afford this.
