Suggestion would be much appreciated,

Def: Houston, Doc, Howe, Noble Roberton, Bzt, (Starcevich, Rivers)
Mid: Macrae, Neale, Cripps, Titch, Oliver, Rowell, Pickett, Mcinerney, (Green, Brown, Mahoney)
Ruc: Grundy, Gawn, (Xerri)
Fwd: Whitfield, Dusty, Smith, Brander, Taylor, King, (Cavarra, Budarick)

Already did
Brayshaw > Rivers (via brander)
Guthrie > Howe

Due to the team selections I revised my trades

last 3 trades
Oliver > Bennell (set on this trade)

Option 1
1 of Roberton/Bzt > Wingard
Green > Petracca
Or
Option 2
Roberton > Hurn
Bzt > Simpkin (via dpp)

With Howe looking good, I'm thinking a change in trades. I was going Macrae down to Danger or Sloane to facilitate Naismith to Gawn and Brayshaw to Long but I think I'll go Brodie Smith to Doedee, Comben to Gawn and Brayshaw to Long.

Would hold Oliver, trade Mahoney for bennel.
Both options are good trades. Take a coin and flip it.

Prefer Option 2 due to both def and fwd being upgraded as I would currently be unwilling to run 3 rookie priced players onfield in the backline.

Personally I think Trac is likely to be a solid keeper, and Wingard is a better chance than Simpkin, so I’d go with that option.

If you’re not confident on Trac then there’s a good argument for the Hurn option in my mind.

Is the attraction to Long just due to the one game with the insane SC ratio? Are you sure it's not fools gold and just a once off? I don't remember the game it was so long ago.

I'm still having a hell of a time weighing up Bewley + 170k vs Ceglar + ruck cover opening up the Cameron DPP link.
Also Ceglar for mine.

I’m no Freo expert but there was some talk that Bewley’s role may not be as favourable going forward, and I believe they have a number of relevant ins with potentially more young players to come in (ie more change) short to medium term.

It's a Pitt-y Pittonet starts vs. Gawn. He'd be a no brainer for me and allow me to build elsewhere.

Edit:

At the moment I'm looking at:

Brayshaw, Naismith and BZT to Gawn, Bennell and Rivers (bit of DPP going on).

Leaves my forward line a bit exposed, so ideally I'd rather not have to get Gawn.

The other random one I'm looking at is:
Naismith, Brayshaw, BZT, Green, Cavarra to Pittonet, Hurn, Townsend, Bennell, Rivers

(I like this more, Townsend the one I'm really unsure of though)

I'm looking at a similar trade-in plan as one of six options. I've just swapped Hurn and Townsend for Andrews and Long.

Started Grundy Jacobs Naismith. Gonna leave that ruck line as is.

Trades at this point.

Dunkley/Andy Brayshow for Howe/Viney
Looking at going
BZT/McAsey/(rookie tbd- Cav or Green) for Wingard or Ceg/Rivers/Bennel or Sturt

Gives me a good injection of rookies including next week

Thinking of sideways trading one of the following to either Cripps or Fyfe. Any suggestions or should I hold?

Roberton to Howe done and dusted (and stoked).

If I trade out Naismith, I found a way to get both my desired targets of Gawn and Viney (but there is a trade off...).

I would end up with a scary three rookie fwd line of:

Brander, Taylor, Budarick (Sturt, Cavarra)
Might be worth it if you can fix up that forward line next week?
