So here's a poser for you guys. I still have a trade left for this round, as I was waiting till final teams to bring in Rivers for Davis or Hibberd.

I've also got: Zerrett, Oliver, Smith (Bennell). Is it worth trading one of the first three for a Fyfe or Rozee etc.?

Who knows what's going to happen? May as well play it how it lands. Caution to the wind. All that.
Rules and Laws of this game have changed. Play the short game.

If you can still get 18 scoring players then it’s not much different to sideways trading a premium in normal circumstances. I’d only be tempted if it avoided a donut in the 18.

Still to get any clear explanation as to what CD intend to do when / if the catch up game gets scheduled and this crazy double point possibility (which I can’t get my head around at all)

It has been a round with its challenges
  • Whitfield on the field.
  • I have 4 Melbourne/Essendon players
    • D Smith score replaced by Budarick (swap)
    • Bennell replaced by Brander (Def Emerg)
    • Rivers replaced by T.Brown (Mid Emerg)
    • Gawn replaced by Pittonet (Ruck Emerg)
I have my fingers cross for no more late outs as my other bench players are:
J. McInerney
B. Davis
B. Williams
D. Martin

We have the rolling lockout, which means that A: The sooner the competition knew about a decision, the better and B: the solutions for AFL Fantasy/Dream Team won't work for Supercoach. Is best 18+DGW perfect for SC? Absolutely not, but ideas being thrown around about average scores counting or players scoring what they're priced to average are far worse.

Nah, I would say only the lowest emergency score counts in your 18.
My guess is, treat as normal.
If you have the E on 2 Mids, and 2 of your on field Mids are missing, then both the E's have the potential to be in your best 18.
If you have the E on 2 Mids, and only 1 of your mids is missing, only the lower of the two E scores is in your calculations.
I could be wrong.
Thank you both @Bomber18 and @Rowsus. I'm pretty sure you're both right and thought that would likely be the case. Just thought I'd ask as I'd realised that I could potentially also slip the E on Budarick in the Fwd line (already have King as Fwd E) in case more than one of Long, Bewley or Sturt really spudded it up. Think I'll play it safe and leave it off Budarick in case he scores lower than King and this score finishes up getting used in the best 18.

Not all the competition would know about this changing situation. Not all the competition sits on a device to be able to spontaneously make trades to an unexpected situation. Late out sure, postponed game which has morphed to not being part of this round, a ridiculous notion.

Starting Kelly and Danger over Neale did not deserve this level of torment
Dangerfield went missing during the second preliminary final and has not been sighted since, rumours persist he has been sighted fishing at Corio bay.

Will Kelly end up a run of the mill player at West Coast, just like Redden when he moved from Brisbane?

Like I said, it's definitely not perfect; but the rolling lockout has morphed SC into a game that requires more attention than it used to. Ideally you'd have scores added to this round once the Ess v Melbourne game is eventually played, but A: Team lineups will undoubtedly change and B: I think technical limitations of the SC system prevent that.

People who have access to information with a rolling lockout would have had the advantage no matter what (assuming all else was equal because lineups/trades remaining etc is different from squad to squad).

Ok, so just checking back in, what's the go with Melbourne/Essendon? Now showing as BYE in SC? I’m guessing all bets are off!

Yeah in short this week they’re running bye mode / best 18, but with Melbourne/Essendon players on ‘bye’
Cheers.

Completely unbelievably - not only do I get to boot Whitfield's concussion score, I get Pittonet's 137 E score in place of Gawn.

2020 is finding new and interesting ways to make life interesting!
