T Papley: 18/79 with 5 or more tackles (22.78%)
C Cameron: 19/102 with 5 or more tackles (18.63%)
D Butler: 14/45 with 5 or more tackles (31.11%)

Stepping stone to Whitfield requiring minimal cash and assume he will only be a 1-3 week rental occupying F4-F6.
I've said my 2c so good luck to those bringing him in. Tis the season to be more aggressive with our trades!

His other 43 games? Plus a whole lot in the VFL.

Papley and Cameron are the best small forwards in the league and they went at ~80 last year.
Was at a different (stronger) club so may not have got the opportunity , perhaps he did and never took advantage of them (I would have to a lot more research on his position/role at Richmond)

Maybe Ratten has given him a opportunity and so far Butler has taken it , statistics indicate he is getting a lot of mid time.

Unfortunately haven't seen him play on TV this season not privy to Ratten's game plan.

Butler has started well but it's hard to imagine on his Tiges career anyone would think he's SC relevant.
It's all about his pressure, doesn't get much of it & honestly was never a great user.
Maybe no-one else tackles at St Kilda in forward line?

I get that - but seriously, where else would Fort play in a team with no Stanley. Even Geelong are not that...........wait a minute!
He actually kicked 3 goals as the ruckman last week in a scratch and has a 105 point on debut playing as that fwd. If i remember correctly he kicked 3 against my side.

exactly

then focus on getting Brown & Starcevich to all those fallen mid premiums in Round 6/7 without having to rely on downgrading mids.

Different strategies for different people.

Was Fort actually playing as the ruck in the scratch match? Where did you read this?

Darcy Fort
Rhys Stanley’s diagnosis with a medial ligament knee injury means Fort has to be right in the picture to take on Max Gawn and the Demons.

He didn’t do his selection chances any harm against the Blues Reserves, kicking three goals playing in the ruck against Tom De Koning, the brother of Geelong’s 2019 first round selection Sam.

Long to Simpkin locked and loaded.
Next one is tricky. Was set on Houston to Ridley.
Just noticed Houston is named on the ball.
Worth the trade ?
Oh and, Ridley vs Doedee ?

Ridley scares me after having him last year and Ambrose sitting as emergency. Might end up losing his spot to Ambrose or Mckenna when he is back. So at worst he will b a stepping stone into a premo or if you get lucky a keeper at D6. Money has to come from somewhere and majority of rookies don't look like they will fatten up quick enough.

Holding for 1 week to go to either West,Hill or Serong.
Thinking the same
It seems we are all scrambling for rookies this week and tbh I don’t think we really know if any of them will keep their spots. Eg. Hamil, Williamson etc.
I think I am gonna try and limp through this week and have another look next week. I reckon Serong might be a must have next week.

Yeh I'm actually tempted to go early If I don't need to make other trades(think has a 80+ game in him vs GCS) . That would then allow me to grab L.Butler + another rookie in round 5 for Naismith.

I've zagged this week and kept 300k in the bank for next week.

Out Houston and Sturt
In Doedee and Hately (via Ainsworth).

It's madness, but I'm going to embrace the madness after last week. Nothing will be gained by playing it safe (and some would say my team was already madness, given Ainsworth is not the only mid priced flyer I've taken)

Everyone in that Geelong team kicked 3 goals against the dogs that game, pretty confident he'll line up in the ruck, where named as a ruckman

Trades:
Out: A Brayshaw, B Long
In: J Simpkin and T Doedee

Apologies in advance for the current or prospective Simpkin and Doedee owners as they are now odds on to be outscored by Long and Brayshaw this round.
Welcome aboard! My trades always go so well.

*Sturt from Round three says hi.
*Jacobs, River, Bennell, TBerry, Viney form round 2 give a out too

***

Although, surely my luck will change soon. Only Pitt seems a good choice thus far
