I brought him in round 2 and no regrets.
Ridley is firming as my Howe replacement to save cash for upcoming upgrades and holding the likes of Pickett, Bennell and Sturt.

Will conduct the usual stats/research tomorrow and report back the findings.
Yep I'm also considering him as a Howe/Stewart replacement. I said last week I didn't want to bring him in because he was ton "speculative" but thoughts have changed after this weekend.

No huge standouts in defense this year besides Docherty (and before this week, Howe) so can probably afford a riskier pick
Had him for a while and like him a lot. And for that matter, would appreciate it if all others steered clear please and thanks... because I need all the PODs I can get.

To put it bluntly: his role is perfect at the moment. He doesn't do incredible things like Saady does to score points; he just never misses a kick (ie. doesn't risk kicks like a Sicily might), can take an intercept mark (much like Siclily), and is suprising aggresive in the ground-ball contest, when he's around it (also, much like Sicily).

In conclusion: he's a less hot-headed, 140k cheaper Sicily. Make of that what you will.
Houston to Ridley was my trade this week
Paid big dividends ? He competed well and I thought his disposal was very assured.
Pity some of the others in my backline such as Stewart and Howe managed to injure themselves ?
Thanks for the thoughts all. Sounds very positive.

Spit balling trading plan for the next 2 Rounds.

Neale's Round 6 BE will be approx 261 less 75% of his Round 5 score. I'm guessing that will make his BE around 160 or more.

Play Neale this Round, trade him out Round 6.
Round 5/6
Trade out: Neale, Florent, Naismith, Rookie
Trade in: Mitchell, Dangerfield, Whitfield, Serong

Out 1 Prem, 1 Midpricers, 2 Rookies
In: 3 Prems, 1 Rookie

Wonder if Port will bring in Sutcliffe and try round 2 vs Neale. They tried hard to smack him around and get in his face last year.
Round 3 (177 points) 43 Disposals, 26 CP, 15 Clearances,4 Marks, 3 Tackles, 4 FF,0FA 1 Goal.
Then they beat him up in
Round 17 (118 points) 24 Disposals, 17 CP, 10 Clearances, 0 Marks, 7 Tackles, 2 FF,2 FA, 0 Goals.

Why Sutcliffe .... Ebo can do the team role if called upon ... without upsetting the team balance ...

Howe to Dangerfield via Brander and Budarick.

Leaving Noble at D4 is probably a little risky, but Danger seems to have bottomed out now, and don’t see any defender premos hitting a low - big watch on Hurn though.

Probably save the other trade as I haven’t saved any yet.

I've got so many holes now I don't even know where to begin - its a real struggle now even fielding 22 players for the next couple of rounds with rookies looking shaky. Team looks well beyond repair at the moment and probably should just give up.

No back premium is really jumping out to me to trade Howe too.
And seems to be more depth in the back rookies over the mids so might go down to Hill and get a mid or mid/fwd premium in.

It's an unprecedented season mate, just play for fun and don't throw in the towel.
I'm ranked around 32k and I told myself there's no point this season as luck plays a much bigger factor than previous years.

The underperforming rookies and premos still get me on matchday but that's about it

That's brilliant, I would have never thought of that...

Do you happen to have Florent‘s BE ?

I’m too considering moving him on, looks like he will hover around that 90 point average for the year which is not quite good enough really.
I'm thinking:
Naismith/Florent ---> Serong/Titch

Great insight.

Does/will McKenna affect his role/scoring when he returns ?
