Really in 2 minds this week, Howe has to go.

Was leaning towards the sexy mid upgrade to Mitchell/Bont as I will be missing Zerrett this week and the gap between the top line Mids and a Brown on field is bigger that the gap between the DEF rookies and the top end Defs.

But that would mean Noble, Doedee and Brander on field with only BZT and Williams supporting, so maybe a move to Lloyd or Laird would be safer

Maybe....but he's only got some job security now that he's played a few good games. He wasn't in our best 22 last year or according to most people heading into the season. McKenna comes back in and his job security is definitely in danger if he has a couple of bad games.
Bomber podcasters would beg to differ haha - many been frothing for Ridley for a while and were furious last year when they played him as a KPP in some games.

Potentially he will be a very good player but I reckon it's one area of the ground where we are fairly deep and our structure and players seems reasonably unpredictable. There's Saad, McKenna, Redman, Cutler, Guelfi and Ridley to pair with our tall defenders. Cutler and Guelfi can both play wing and rotate at half-back.

I would have said I prefer all of those guys except Guelfi to him prior to the start of the year, on form I'd say he's better than all except Saad but it might just be form. I think at the very least McKenna takes points off of him.

Is Ridley the real deal? Impressive numbers so far and I'm looking for a value premium after making some poor choices. Haven't seen him play as yet but stats indicate good user off half back who can take a grab and capable of getting contested footy.
Has he been taking kick ins or is that Saad or Hurley's domain?
Would appreciate any views.
J Ridley:
2020:
46/51 Effective Disposals (16/16, 13/17, 17/18)
17 Contested Possessions
17 Intercepts
22 1%
19 Marks (5 Contested)- 15th on Avg
88.6% Kicking Efficiency (26th in the Comp)
His kicking efficiency is the 3rd highest of players to have accumulated 15+ disposals a game (1st S Hurn, 2nd J Short)
9th for Effective Kicks- Top 10 listed below:

If he can maintain the role and efficiency then he should be a great value selection.

Didn't that goal work out well for us! My old man is a Dees man so it would be extra painful for me.
Though I gotta admit I'm quite content even if we do begin to fade away now... The last few years have been incredible given I've been a supporter for 30 years
I think the 16 minute quarters has impacted Richmond who have built a team around aerobic capacity.

Is it a concern that Ridley's DT average has gone up by 4, and his SC average has gone up by 33?
Is the Hype justified or like others have mentioned that his role will be affected?

I used the money to bolster my midfield by sending Starcevich down there.

The defence is a crap shoot at the moment hopefully someone puts up their ?

Planning on grabbing one of Petracca/Bont this week and one next week. Will be touch and go next week as to whether I can afford the other. I believe they have the exact same BE too. Which one should I go for this week and who should I cross my fingers and hope for next week?

I have never used the DT scoring system as a comparison to SC and with the shortened quarters and larger emphasis on contested ball, intercepts and efficiency I would further disregard it this season.

I would select Bont for the following reason
He has a higher ceiling and a BE of 65

I'm not quitting, but very tempted to. If I wasn't in the quartets comp I would be considering it a lot more. On track for 0/10 league wins this round, think there's 1 I may be a small chance of winning (against a ghost ship in a public league).

So far even numbered rounds have been awful to me, odd numbered rounds have been passable. Surely next week will be an improvement based on that...
Whitfield, Fyfe, Dunkley... feeling ya pain mate... this week I managed to Macrae VC in to Fyfe C... FMD. Tom Green on the bloody bench. Stick a fork in me, hit the big red button... but #quartets...

It can work quite well as a cross check ... it gives an idea of how much risk you're taking/how sustainable the scoring of (eg) a rookie might be.
