Strategy Round 5: Trades

Cant be a better week to double down imo.
Most teams would have 1 of Howe, Fyfe, Naismith to deal with. Was going to bring in Danger but I'll double down and hope he doesn't go to much over his projected of 118 and get him next week.
Whitfield the week after.

Howe > Hill
Cavara > Serong via dpp
Want to get em before they go up in $$$ this week.
Both good potential to score 70+ most weeks.

Crossed fingers for Hills body. Was on 50's at qrt time last week i heard. Cant pass that up.

Taylor and King are basically capped in terms of cash unless they produce a big spike score soon. Young and Serong should make cash as well as being good on field scoring rookies. Looking at Whitfield and Danger/Titch next week.

A Fyfe replacement would naturally be Mitchell (already have Macrae, not picking Bont) - anyone considering players other than Mitchell/Bont?

the DB tag this weekend scares me, last thing is blow a sideways trade only for Mitch to score 60 lol.

Looking at Gaff, Parker as I need to make up points. McCluggage is also on the radar for this week. Low BE.

So it's either a double down on the Freo boys or take this golden opportunity to "upgrade" Houston

I can't help thinking King has a bigger score at some stage as soon as I trade him out!

It’s a possibility but it would have to come in the next 2-3 weeks to hurt me (most would have traded him by then). I think Serong and/or Young a much more likely to produce a spike score.

That’s my thinking anyway, want to get onto upgrading ASAP and hopefully rise in the ranks.

I’m holding Fyfe and picking up Serong. Can see him averaging 70+ easily. Think he’s a good selection regardless of what you plan to do with Fyfe.

I reckon all of Adams, Parker and Cunnington going to benefit from new tackling rules

i am bringing in parker at the moment, really wanted cunnnington but cant trust him. but i have been looking at adams recently a bit and other than being injury prone there isnt too much saying "dont pick him"

Treloar not far. He's the one you want.
Should be eased in so his TOG should help him drop in $$$ before he hits his straps. Question of can you wait that long

Not from me. If targeting a Pies mid I would prefer Pendlebury or Treloar.

Adams historically boasts an average/below average time on ground percentage, dependent on amassing a large amount of the ball and has only managed more than 18 matches in 2 from 9 seasons. Kicking efficiency has improved over the past couple of seasons and usually averages around 5-6 tackles a game.

Far more consistent and durable players with a proven scoring history and higher ceiling available around the same price range.

My thinking has come around to hanging onto Fyfe, and trading as follows:

- Howe to Ridley
- Naismith to Serong

Hold Fyfe, build some cash to upgrade over the weeks ahead.
