anyone going for Buddy next year?
Yes at least to start off with as you'll be playing Giants rd 1 and should destroy them and have a nice early average, but I'll be trading his ass as soon as he gets suspended/injured (so maybe rd 7ish :p).

Buddy a lock for me pending Preseason/Injuries. I believe he'll be back to the HF/Mid role at Sydney which was so high scoring for him in the past.

+1 buddy lock. Will be his cheapest starting price since forever I'm guessing as well and will no doubt want to impress.

Think I'm more tempted to go with Tippet, Buddy will get the best defender and that should free up Tippet a little.
Another season on and a more mature body, should get time in the ruck also. Just putting it out there, could be a little risky though.

Not as confident on gunston as some.
Rather pay a bit more and get a fwd/mid type like a stevie j type. Comes down to gunstons price I spose.

daisy, buddy are locks so far

I'm not quite sure why people keep comparing Tippett and Buddy for direct opponents.
For the most part they are different types of players, and require different match-ups.
I'm not sure there will be too many times opposition sides that will be saying "Do we play player A on Buddy, or Tippett?"
Buddy being there doesn't overly help Tippett from a SC point of view, and vice-versa.

A debate for me centers about key position forwards and M/F dual position players. Gunston/Pavlich/Buddy/Tex/Reiwoldt types or Rockcliff/Thomas/Bartel/Harvey/Martin types. The later wins for me, simply more consistent. Stats. will shoot this down probably, been written about by Rowsus and others. Just seems that way.

Thats what I mean with the post above about gunston.
Wouldnt suprise me if he averages 100 but a mid/fwd l Ike rockliff, stevie j have higher sealings and hit them more often.
There on the ball more, higher possy rate

Lots of options for players who have changed clubs next year.. I am assuming that most players do better after a change of club, but I'm not basing this on anything...

Logically clubs getting a player would rate them higher than the club they are departing. Hence theoretically they should play more games or have a more prominent role leading to higher scores. Monfries would be a good example of the latter. He seemed a nothing player at Essendon but was quite important for Port and had a great season.

Most increases in average won't be relevant for SC purposes though. For instance I expect Savage to average 20+ pts more next season but not enough to select him.

Depends on his role next year and his starting price, could be a POD.

Shane Kersten (Geelong) should be a lock if this newspaper article is anything to go by and $115,900 is amazing for a player that will be in every week and not being subbed.

Am interested in hearing a Cats fan view on the amount of game time Kersten is likely to get. Yet to debut and will be 21 in March next year so one would assume that he would be eased into the team, assuming he does get put into the team.
