I like the idea of a thread for trade history every 5 rounds, be interesting to see people's good and bad moves over the course of a season.

My history to date:
RD 2:
King > Bennell
T.Green > Simpkin
Roberton > SPS
Brayshaw > Bewley

RD 3:
MacPherson > Pittonet
English > Howe

RD 4:
Houston > Haynes
Pickett > Rivers

RD 5: To be determined...
RD2:
TKelly > Rivers
NicNat > Gawn
Roberton > Howe
Mcasey > Noble
Green > McHenry (awful)

RD3:
ZBT > Pittonet
Cavarra > Bennell (awful)

RD4:
Whitfield > Simpkin
Sturt > Williamson

I feel the trade outs have been good. Some rookie ins could have gone better.

RD5:
Howe > Dangerfield
Pending team lists. Unnamed rookie > Serong/Hill likely.

McCluggage > Petracca

Rd 3:
Naitanui > Pittonet
Cavarra > Sturt

Rd 4:

Rd 5 (pending teams - may change after a rethink):

Not a lot of wins there.

Rd 2:
McAsey > Rivers (y)
Green > McInerney (y)
Cavarra > Pittonet

Rd 3:
J. Kelly > Neale
Naismith > Cameron :censored:

Rd 4:
Houston > Petracca :)

Rd 5:
TBC

Conservative start in hindsight having used only 6 of the 9 available trades before this round. Hoping this will give me an edge on coaches come rd 14/15/16 etc if the carnage was anything like last round!

only question for me now

to trade or not to trade fyfe?
I desperately want to hold him.

But if the talk or these relevant SC rookies being dropped/not picked comes true come team selections, its going to be awfully hard to put up a competitive side this week without trading him.

I'm normally one who will trade straight away at first sign of injury... But I'm thinking I'll hold Fyfe this time. Good signs that he was doing some running already at training so I'm thinking it will only be this week and next that he misses. Will hurt my onfield scores for 2 weeks but think it will be best to hold.

A Fyfe replacement would naturally be Mitchell (already have Macrae, not picking Bont) - anyone considering players other than Mitchell/Bont?

the DB tag this weekend scares me, last thing is blow a sideways trade only for Mitch to score 60 lol.

Mitchell/jelly/Oliver/gaff maybe even Treloar?
Nope mate, Titch + $55k is too enticing.

Thanks for this post. I didn't realise Fyfe was already running, so this made me stop and consider my plans to trade Fyfe out this week and I realised I can still bring in my 2 desired players while still being able to keep Fyfe on the bench :)

I’ve got a couple of trades in mind but making 2 rookie corrections is looking more and more likely, which sucks because I’ve got Fyfe on the pine.

Hoping BWilliams gets a gig and Butler (WBD) holds his spot to make me feel better about skipping on a rookie this week.

Will watch with interest how the Ridley trade goes for everyone. He’s about a 10% chance of coming in for me but that’s more because I want to get a forward rookie off the ground more than anything else.

Hoping to see Mahony and Butler named tonight to allow a cash grab for a hopeful double upgrade next week. In a shorter season with slowing rookie cash generation I can’t afford to spend on non bargain rookies when my strategy is now to get an early team completion.

Here's my trade history:

Rd 2
Bont > Neale
McAsey > Rivers(y)
Cavarra > Bennell
Green > Doedee- bit questionable

Rd3
De Goey > Petracca- right trade, wrong week
BZT > Cameron- at least I made a bit of cash?

Rd4
Dunkley > Macrae
Sturt > Hamill- worst trade yet. Decided not to get Williamson and Sturt might be back this week o_O

Think it’s going to be
Taylor >>> H.Young
M.King >>> Serong

Taylor and King are basically capped in terms of cash unless they produce a big spike score soon. Young and Serong should make cash as well as being good on field scoring rookies. Looking at Whitfield and Danger/Titch next week.
Now with team selection it’s going to be one of Brander and Noble going out. Could be weeks before they come.

King to Serong is done, just need to pick which out of Brander and Noble goes out, anyone have any advice on which one should go ?

I don't think it's luck that Hill needs, just a stronger body.
I looked at BZT to Hill as well, but I am not happy with Hill's longevity or his price, $190,600 compared to BZT's $189,000, no win there.
So, if selected tonight, I'm leaning to WBD's L Butler, Def/Mid $117,300 BE -3. The wins here are that he'll make a quick reasonable profit, $73K straight in the bank and if he's dropped, at least he's a dual position player that could be useful in future trades and if we have another 'best 18' situation.
Has been omitted unfortunately.
