I'm thinking I might still bring in Xerri this week even after being warned against him. I will likely look to offload Pittonet next week so I need an R3, so I'm effectively making the Pittonet downgrade trade a week early and getting a playing (for the moment anyway) R3 in the process.

This means I can upgrade Pittonet and get in Hibberd/another rookie with my second trade. Without Xerri I would need to go Pittonet down to an FD and then upgrade a rookie.

I was looking at making a double defensive change, until I realised there was no one I actually rated, so instead....

In: one of Mitchell, Bont, Dangerfield or even Kelly or MacRae.

Open to suggestions about which.

Simple trade will be Stewart - > Ridley

Next trade will be seeing how many DPP I am allowed to use :-

Out Fyfe
Substitute F/M
Move Brander from Defence to Forward
Move Starcevich from Mid to Defence
Substitute another F/M

In: ???

Thinking about bringing in Hill and Young in Defence as stepping stones into Premo's that drop cash like Stewart/Ryan. (Looking like my last line of upgrades.)
Will still be able to grab Gawn next week with those 2.

Would it be crazy to consider doing a double down from Howe and Naismith and leave myself with > $500k ITB this week?
I don't think it is crazy if it works for your team - the rookies look good this week. I don't mind the look of Hibberd and H Jones from the hawks who are on the bubble next week (hate this 1 week bubble rule!) but the short term pain may help when there are a lot of premos who haven't fallen enough yet. I am 50/50 on doing the same and taking 2 freo rookie priced options. Also 50/50 on just banking Jake Lloyd as a top 6 defender.

I am really looking forward to final teams tonight as these extended benches are going to force my hand one way or another.

Looks like the double down is where I'm heading. Howe and BZT and Young and Hill in. Brander, Howe, BZT and Williams out this week, might just have to double down this week and take my medicine.

One of the toughest back line issues I have seen for a long time with injuries and dropped rookies. Good on those coaches who have thought about their trades and covered for this possibility.

Not sure whether to trade out my two non playing rookies for Hill or Serong or Mahony - like for like,
Or bring in Ridley and a rookie for Noble and Taylor, am I going to early on Taylor?
Should I be looking for points or future cash generation at this stage of the season?
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Any thoughts on Aiden Corr?
My backline is seriously under fire this week.
Docherty, Smith, Ridley (Traded in for Howe), Doedee, Noble, Brander, (Rivers, Gould)
Thinking of a left wing move of Corr in for Noble
Thoughts?????

I think at this stage of the year unless you are in the running for winning overall, cash is king. Taylor is not an essential trade out, unless you have no other issues, Noble may struggle to get back in, but who knows?

Ridley is a reasonable option, but I think if you take him you probably have to take him with a view to be a season long keeper.

TBH, not anywhere close to being on my radar. Priced at 330k, not sure he will make much cash and highly doubt he will be a keeper.

Would rather take Young at $223, atleast he will make some cash, unless he gets injured.

I agree with Deeman, save coin and go a Young or Hill.
I personally wouldn't touch Corr with a ten foot pole, his last two weeks have been so, so far from his norm its ridiculous hahaha.

After pondering and depending on Fri teams I think I will go Fyfe down to Serong and BZT up to Lloyd. Gets a good mid rookie, keeps the prem score and means I cover my backline issues. Fingers crossed this works out!

He has been around a long time and never scored like that before, I would be discounting it as an aberration as he normally plays a lock down role.
