Strategy Round 5: Trades

I've just traded Stephen Hill in.
I apologise to other SCS members who have done the same.
I apologise to Fremantle supporters.
I apologise to the Fremantle Football Club.
I apologise to Stephen and his family.

I actually feel quite sick now that I've done it.

This trade could go down in Infamy ?

I went Saad, so 40 points down this week. Ridley looked bloody good. Oh well. Hill was the other option. I think Saad will still be good, and hopefully a bit of a pod.

Actually now that I've come to the second trade, I should have brought Hill and Bont in. Much more balanced.
Now I'll have four rookies onfield in the mids, which I knew, but now I can see it...
Unless I bring Hill in forward. Otherwise, I'll bring in Serong. Hopefully he or Hill can stick around to make some cash.

So it's really Hill v Serong.

I think they’re both pretty good options. I prefer Hill narrowly, and took him because I needed a defender, but was slightly disappointed when selections largely took the X vs Y out of my hands.

Personally I would rather take injury risk over JS risk, but I expect both will score relatively well.

I’m considering Serong as an option one week late if he plays well.

Yeah, as I said above, my first plan was Hill in def for Howe, and Bont/Titch et al. I feel that was probably the way to go, but pulled the Saad trigger last night so limited myself. First "mistake" I feel I've made, but not necessarily - until we see how things pan out.
Trying not to stress as much over these things.

Undecided if I will bring in Hill/Serong or Mitchell if Sloane doesn't make the final team. May end up just leaving the trade.

After planning to bring the Bont in this week, I ended up using both trades to avoid DEF donuts.

Howe > Ridley
Townsend > Hill

I fee pretty good about these moves. Fingers crossed Hill performs and stays on the park long enough to make some cash.
