I think that the biggest deterrent with Heater is Heater, dont think he has ever been a lock, always a risk vs reward type.
Will see where GWS use him as i thought that one of his issues at CWood was a lack of Midfield time (maybe a Magpie supporter could confirm or deny), if he was in the midfield mix he might be a starting option.
Agree with this, if he looks like he'll be spending a lot of time in the midfield he will be hard to ignore. I generally let rookie strength determine my overall structure but I don't think i'll be starting with him next year even if i was to go top heavy in the backs.

Heater leaving was partly because lack of midfield time.
I want to start with him but I dont think he will get alot of help when it comes to breaking tags etc.
Definitely a watch.
Depending on rookie depth in defence ill be going 2 premiums, 2 discount midprices and rookies at this stage
Just need to find next years brett goodes etc.

Is Luke Delaney worth a look in now he is at the saints?
Been recruited to play as a permanent key defender. I can't think of any permanent key defenders worth considering. Taylor and Henderson switched forward quite a bit and SDT plays a variety of defensive roles.

where do you think Pearce Hanley will play position wise next year under justn leppitsch? Certainly will watch him during preseason games. will be 25 for next season and has 76 games under his belt. has been increasing his average yearly since 09. he was susceptible to a tag every once in a while this year running off half back. but played a little bit of time in the mids and forward line at the end of the season. is he worth the punt?

I was happy I picked him this season but I don't think I could pick him over McVeigh, Mitchell and Bartel. If Hanley is still listed as a defender then he'll be an excellent trade in target sometime during the season.

I also picked him at the start of the season, very pleased with that and also agree with what you have said about the other options.
