WI bowled quite well. Gabriel was great to watch. Holder just cementing his spot as the best bowling all rounder in the game at the moment.

Hoping to see WI get a lead after their solid start.
Their bowling attack has probably been one of the best in the world the last 18 months.

Holder's last 18-24 months have been incredible with bat and ball.

I still can't understand how England persevere with Butler in Test cricket , would give the gloves to Woakes and find a spot in the batting lineup for Bairstow (let him focus on batting)

I wasn’t very impressed at all with England’s top order. Denly’s main reason for being there is his ability to dull the new ball and the two youngsters have a way to go before they can be deemed competent at this level.

Rory Burns makes me physically ill when watching him bat, comes across the ball way too often to be consistently successful at test level. The way Gabriel worked him over was a delight to watch, drawing him across further and further before nailing the yorker. Couldn’t believe it wasn’t given in real time!

I don't know enough about Crawley or Sibley , Pope looks a talent.

I thought Chanderpaul looked awkward , Burns has taken it to the next level , just looks like his head or neck will twist off.

They never really found a opener when Strauss left , let alone Cook as well.

Surely Bairstow is a better option than Denly though.

Have you seen much of Dan Lawrence ? more middle order I think.

I assume Root would come in for Crawley.

What ever happened to Hameed ?

@Herbie66 Pretty sure Hameed was dropped from his county given his form dropped off quite dramatically.

Don’t know a lot about Lawrence. Didn’t follow the county scene as closely last season as I normally do.
I think you are right about Hameed , might have even lost his contract , will do some reading.

I thought Lawrence was the one who scored a double century against Australia A at the G , more reading required (Edit 190 at Hobart)

3 Tests against WI and Pakistan without any county matches , be hard for them to make too many changes I guess , might see Moeen Ali back at 3.

Now that you mention it, maybe they want to stake a claim on the use of those grounds on particular dates.
Last season's fixture was announced the last week July.

Think it might have something to do with the players contract period opening up as well.

Hopefully the AFL season is well and truly finished by the time the Big Bash starts.
