Sorry Herbie. You have been copping it. Surely you'll get some luck soon.

Despite him scoring reasonably since I traded him, and it using up a trade I am glad I got rid of Greene in a sideways move for Simpkin a few rounds back, and even more so now. No comment needed on Fyfe who I got at the same time though.
Just waiting for Ceglar to be out , Ratten to swing the axe on Butler , Taylor to miss and I will have a forward line of KKP & TJL ?

Missing a second game already for knee soreness doesn't sound too promising moving forward for the rest of the season.

Just going around in circles every week without improving my team , oh well plenty of others in the same boat.

Almost time to dust off my Big Bash stats ?

I know things are different, but seriously, I thought the AFL was toughening up on late changes!
Cox out of selected team - "managed"
Lloyd out of selected team - "managed"
If these players really need a managed rest, then don't select them. Either that, or be honest.

Collingwood "Ummmm.... excuse me Mr AFL, it's raining a lot more than we thought. Can we swap Cox for Noble?".

This is exactly the type of change the AFL was trying to eliminate, especially when it started taking sponsorship from Bookies!

*disclaimer - I'm happy Noble played, as I still have him.

Honestly unsure. Our currently listed side has McEvoy at CHB, Ceglar in the ruck. So I assume if Ceglar is deemed not fit, then he'll be a late out come Sunday. I guess the fact they've named him to begin with still shows that we are going to try and go with him as the number one ruck, and McEvoy in defence. Although with the Demons lack of talls, I'm still expecting a late out to occur for Ceglar, with probably Scrimshaw coming in to go across half back with McEvoy to RUC.

Purely a guess this based on our squad selected, but...

IN
Burgoyne
Lewis

OUT
Puopolo/Morris
Patton

Then I'm guessing a late change on Sunday of Ceglar out for Scrimshaw.

EDIT: Also wouldn't be surprised to see both Morris/Puopolo out, and Minchington come in.

@Bermi yeah Ceglar can play forward, not overly well, but he can. I'm not sure we would turn to him playing majority as a forward, and just chopping out in the ruck though if we were to revert to McEvoy rucking. I'd think we'd look towards another genuine forward option, with TOB/Lewis/(Patton) types chopping out.

The above is purely my guess at how things might play out, I haven't heard any more since earlier in the week. The Scrimshaw news of a possible return this week is a surprise (and a good one at that for Hawks supporters). Should I hear any more re. Ceglar throughout the day I will pass it on.
Thanks for you detailed reply. (y)

Top 10 draft pick from memory.

Might be straight back out though for Ebert.
No mention Mayes had injuries, maybe he did. He has taken a while to break into the team, so as @Herbie66 says, may be straight out the team again soon?

Sam Mayes Biography
Friday, 18 January 2019
Sam Mayes has his sights set on securing the vacant wing spot at Port Adelaide created by Jared Polec's departure to North Melbourne.
"I can see myself filling that position, so that's what I'm going to try and do. I think naturally my best position is wing/half forward," he said.
"I have developed over the last few years as a half-back, so I think it's something I can add to the side this season is a bit of versatility."
