It's been a slow burn. But the last few weeks have been encouraging, and he's building.
If he could kick his shots on goal he'd have scored a hell of a lot better than he has early also.

It's hard to kick guys out of the team that's finally started winning in the last 2 weeks. Even Lewis Jetta is waiting to get back in.

It really does seem it was just an unfortunate time to pick up that hip knock for Brander. He's not yet at the level of demanding an automatic recall in the best 22 despite the club wanting to get games into him this year.

Who knows... If Waterman plays another poor game, or if there's an injury this week or if they decide to rest JK in this compressed schedule... Nice to know Brander is fit and ready to slot back in.

Brander may turn out to be a handy loophole agent for me this round. If McAsey plays, I could do a sneaky loophole between Aarts and McAsey (using the Brander and Hill link), which could result in big gains of potentially a 40 odd score instead of a 20 odd score. I'm excited
