Looking at Smith in for Taylor at this stage and maybe one of the rookies (Weightman?)
Think I’ll have to give Smith a miss now that Rankine/Taylor look like decent F6 options. Still have Starcevich at D6 and Pittonet at R2 so bleeding a lot of pts there at the moment. Don’t have quite enough cash to get both fixed in one week so will probably fix Starc first.

I think Macrae over Smith seems logical for this week. Macrae BE of ~80 vs Smith ~50, but Macrae should score about 20 more. Still a bit unsure about Smith when Dunks comes back, so might give him one more week to see if he scores another 100 or another 75.

Dunks still 4 weeks away according to tweets.

What would you be willing to pay for Rankine if he comes out and goes 90+ this week?

I get he's talented, I get the hype, but his stats from the NEAFL and role plus his injury history were all question marks for me.

I think if he puts up a few more decent scores I can put to bed the NEAFL stats and role concerns and just have to chance the injury bit.

I'm planning on spending my fyfe money.

Pittonet to Gawn done unless gawn gets injured.

Maybe Brown to Daniel / Sicily via Starc.

I really like Bailey Smith but I'm not sure about getting a second year player. Especially a second year player who wouldn't be drafted interstate and now is likely to end up interstate for a long time.

Will depend on the next slate of fixture and how SC adapt with regards to best 22 or 18 scorers for the remainder of the season.

I hope that they announce this prior to the start of R8 as it will have a significant impact on our trading strategy going forward. I do not want to see a recurrence of what took place back in R3.

I've got 7 upgrades, so it's not going to happen, if we have best 18 that changes things a fair bit. It looks as though whoever started with mid price madness is well ahead in terms of bench coverage too.

Petracca and Oliver my targets at the moment
Think they’re smart buys with the bye for them out of the way. Having the big Melbourne 3 gawn liber petracca along time its saad/Ridley/Merrett types along with even Devon are going to be super handy imo
