my current side with $287,200 and 15 trades Ranked 1,940
DEF: Daniel, Doc, Ridley, Doedee, Hurn, Hill (Williamson, Brander)
MID: Macrae, Neale, Titch, Cripps, Dusty, Bennell, Pickett, Simpson, (Budarick, Mahoney, Rivers)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy, (Cameron)
FWD: Greenwood, Simpkin, Whitfield, DSmith, King, Rankine (Taylor, Xerri)

Looking like 6 more upgrades to a completed team
Unfortunately don’t have enough funds to double upgrade,
My question now is do I go for value picks or not, really depends with how the fixtures are going ahead

Should I complete my fwd line and get Petracca or boost my mids and get like Steele

Ok, is it crazy spending 370+k to get Gawn? He’s locked in my trade plans, I’m bleeding points.
Not crazy because yes, we are absolutely bleeding points without Max. In the last month:

Max - 642 points
Pitto - 284 points

Difference of 358 points, 89.5 points per game!

There's obviously other ruckman you could trade in and it's hard to see Max keeping it up but he's so far above everyone else right now, the desire to get him is completely understandable.

Wihtout really knowing the fixture and trades per round, I'd still aim for premo upgrades... I think we'll be up for 3/round, but that doesn't start this week. Doing value upgrades isn't going to speed you up that much and risks a list clogger entering what is a very good looking side. I think the only time you can value upgrade is perhaps over the byes where you might be able to slot 1 additional upgrade over a couple of weeks.

Petracca is a gimme, slot him in.

Cheers

First full year is going far better than expected, sitting at 3k.

Thinking of clearing the deadwood:
Out: Brown, Brander
In: BSmith, Minchington/Georgiadias/McKay

Leaves me with 5 rookies on field.

Would prefer one of the cheaper rookies to hopefully leave enough for one up one down next week (hopefully Gaff).

Clayton Oliver take your fancy at all? 565k, last 3 seasons 110 or thereabouts, currently averaging 110. As solid a pick as any I think.
