Yes...acknowledged that.
I intentionally held off trading Fyfe & Ceglar last round as I was waiting on the release of the upcoming fixture and to await further information on their respective injury. With them both sharing the RD10 bye, I've decided to move them both on to alleviate the stress on my team for that round, plus the extra 4 trades made the decision to cut them a little more easier.
I did the same. Not an easy decision though.

Hi Guys,

I'm really struggling with my trades this week. I seem to have got myself in a bit of a pickle with my cash generation. Hill is my highest priced rookie at 266k.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks heaps

Probably would move McInerney - > Rookie Defender (maybe McPherson) via Rivers (opens up DPP) and gives you some cash.

Not sure what you want to do with Pittonet.

May need to sideways premiums to generate $$$ or start replacing some deadwood next round.

Spend all most of my cash last week getting the 'Bearded One" in.

Could have done Brander to Georgiades and Taylor to B Smith, but missed that boat the reason mainly being aside from his injury game Taylor has been one of the more reliable rookies.

So now don't realy have enough cash to do too much meaningfull. Half considered Neale to Parker and Taylor to Whitfiled, but seems a waste of trades.

So now looking likley I will just do Brander to Georgiades and increase bank to nearly $170k, may also consider McInerney to Simpson which would increase bank to $225k for Smith or Whitfiled next week.

Not sure if the second trade of McInerney to Simpson is worth it
McInerney doesn't look like returning even with their injury worries , Simpson at least is playing and seems Geelong is losing players as they gain them back , could make some very quick $$$ (and provide points) for the next few rounds.

Think the Cats have 4 in 16/17 days so they probably rotate some of their oldies.

I'm surprised McInerney isn't playing this week. Must be a fair way down the pecking order with a depleted Sydney team, and rookies jumping McInerney left right and center, We might not see him for a while.

Simpson (who I grabbed last week), I actually like even more after seeing the new fixtures. Geelong who are one of the oldest teams and midfields in the league, and who have suffered multiple injuries... Have 5,4,5,4 days break between games in their next block.

Perfect time for a young Simpson to get some games under his belt and help our SC teams.

Exactly my thinking regarding Fyfe... I held to have more info on hand an allow me to make a better decision.

The release of the draw and the extra trades allowed me to trade Fyfe to Greenwood last night.

The thinking was that Fyfe is only a 50-50 shot at returning next week, the guy has had 2 separate hamstring strains in the same hammy in a 4 week period. That surely leads to a more conservative approach to his return. With the Bye in play in Round 10, the right thing for Fyfe is to probably wait the extra week and return after the Bye. If he did return next week, I'm fairly certain we would see the Fyfe that is handcuffed to the goal square and with that likely lower scores.

I read on the Syd board that he didn't showed much during their scratch game last weekend...could be a long way off.

Depends on how much profit you're expecting from the English trade, in say 3 rounds.
R8 T English (WBD) $600,100 BE 48
Scores of 100,100,100: R11 $604,800 BE 158
Scores of 110,110,110: R11 $626,500 BE 150
Scores of 120,120,120: R11 $648,200 BE 143

Some more variation in scores...
Scores of 100,110,120: R11 $620,900 BE 137
Scores of 120,110,100: R11 $632,100 BE 164
Scores of 110,100,120: R11 $623,300 BE 148

And if we take his season's low (63), 2nd high (145) and average (119)
Scores of 63,119,145: R11 $601,800 BE 92
Scores of 145,119,63: R11 $647,700 BE 201
Scores of 119,63,145: R11 $615,200 BE 156

In short, in order for him to make any significant profit, he needs to score 100's in his next 2 games...The bigger the ton, the higher his price will climb. If you're confident that he can do this against Witts & Soldo then go for it.

With that says, I feel that he has about $50K of growth max based on what he's shown excluding the 204 outlier.

All the best with your decision.
With a 73 last night, English is projected to be approx. $610,800 with a BE of 84 for the start of R9.

And if we take his season's low (63), 2nd high (145) and average (119)
Scores of 63,119,145: R11 $601,800 BE 92

He'll need to score at his season's average then match his 2nd highest score over the next 2 rounds in order not to regress on his R8 price.

I'm annoyed at myself for not trading him out last night.

I switched from trading Big O to King. But just didn't think to trade out Little McInerney and keep King for another week. Doh!

I can't be the only one with this dilemma so thought I'd post.

Looking to downgrade to Georgiades this week. Do I cut my losses and trade Lynch (133BE) or King (53BE)?

I think if you cant see Lynch coming good then he is probably the one that has to go.

King + Pittonet > Bailey Smith + Soldo.

Just couldn't bring myself to commit to the inefficiency of spend on Gawn in the end.

Brander + McInerney > D Smith + S Mayes - holding Pittonet for the 3 trades next week.

Would have loved to get in B Smith or D Zorko this week and it hurts my team not to but cash generation paramount over points at present.
We'll see how this pans out over the season then say 'I shoulda...'
