Out of all the rookies that debut on the weekend, would Weightman be the "best"?, slim pickings I know but need a downgrade, interested to hear supporters thoughts and/or some insight….

I'm thinking the same thing. Might have to get creative. Wish there wasn't a Thurs game this week. Need the time.

Interesting so he’s an inside mid. I was wondering if he was more inside than outside. Wonder if he goes into the CBs pushes Macrae to the wings. Or if he is played out of position in a HFF/wing role.
Not sure, I'd imagine he'd get some time in the middle. I also read a tweet today that mentioned Libba might need a break at some stage possibly through the compressed schedule, but is going of atm. This would give opportunity to Porter staying in the team longer.

Did the Bulldogs announce this knowing Hunter was pulling out?

Sounded like they wanted to rest Liberatore before Hunter's announcement was public. Probably means Porter gets a second game atleast next round if he produces a decent enough effort. He might be thrown under the contests even more to protect the stars bodies. Bont fwd and Macrae wing is a scary thought for their owners if thats the case.

any opinions on McKay (North)?
scored an 86 first game.
Deciding between McKay or Weightman.
Depends on how you look at it.

The 86 came off 4 kicks & a handpass, 1 mark and 3 tackles, 100% gametime and 60% efficiency. One could well ask how the hell that made an 86!! On the other hand if he can do that off stuff all possessions imagine how he goes off a 15+ game!

thanks, I'm in need of a defender more than a forward but not sure if he'll even keep his spot. guess i'll wait for selections and decide then

Anyone know much about Ling? Sydney defenders usually score alright, I think I'm needing a low priced rookie...
Hasn’t been great in the NEAFL.

Ling (123k DEF) 21 yo, 184cm, 79kg
  • Only 16 games played in the past two NEAFL seasons (Toe injury ended his season in 2018)
  • Little impact in those games, only had more than 15 disposals once, averaging 47SC.
  • Across two seasons, rated above average for tackles but below average for disposals, marks, CPs and IPs
  • DE% of 74.4% (2018 NEAFL), 67.8% (2019 NEAFL) and 80.4% (U18C 2017)
  • Doesn’t win enough of the ball to fully capitalize on his ball use (rated elite for both disposal and kicking efficiency)
  • 14th selection in the 2017 draft

39 SC was slightly disappointing but let’s see how the other rookies go for this round.

I’m hoping there are at least two decent picks available for next round!

Very good info on all the Rookies (y)

Ling's disposal is a bit confusing

His numbers aren't fantastic, but geez he might just have to do for me next week if he gets through this week and holds his spot.
Really only have my current DEF rookies really to trade out next week, everyone else either still mooing or has stopped mooing and hasn't mooed enough to be worth trading out yet. Then to get a DEF upgrade done ASAP, but requires a downgrade first unfortunately.
