Without having looked at the prices of each of these players, I must say that looks a handy side.
Personally I'm not sold on Ahmed, a. getting a game behind Murali, & b. taking wickets.
Katich is playing, I know the Strikers generally play a lot of spinners, and Michael Beer from the Scorchers always seems to go pretty well in these T20 comps.

I haven't really put too much time yet into my side, will wait another week until school is finished and we are a little bit closer to the first round.
Cheers Goodie's, thanks for that.
Have made some changes. Michael Beer is now in. Have to say, love his surname.

Didn't realize thee were league prizes up for grabs and also didn't realize that this would attract so much interest! :p

Hopefully one of these leagues can get the prize!

$6,000 prize for best performing league, with prize money to be divided equally amongst all 8 league participants - now there's a worthy challenge for us during the Super Coach hiatus !!
Definitely agree. Great little incentive that. Don't remember if they have an overall prize but this is definitely enough...hopefully no ghostships in the third SCS league 158157!

Finally got around to signing up. Created a 3rd league:158157
Gee that was a bit of work. 2 full leagues already! Haha.

Would you mind renaming this to SCS league 3 or something similar, just in case we win the whole thing. It would be a shame not to give the site a free plug if we did :D

Yep, I think what helps is the Big Bash will be on free to air television and Channel Ten have finally done something right in an otherwise shocking joke of a tv station. With Flemo and Viv Richards on the commentary team that has to be a plus. Punter is on too but not sure if he is a good commentator. With Big Bash getting good coverage there is a chance for us to have better knowledge of the ins and outs of players and whose in form and value for a fantasy game.

I have started SCS Group. All welcome to join.

Hopefully Cooper and Head score a bundle of centuries so we finally get some younger bats banging down the door to get into Test side.

Enjoyed seeing a bit of the first Test and the fallout out from 1st Test. Hopefully we are smart and rest one or both of Johnson and Harris if we can for this Test.
Johnson really took on board the enforcer role well and Poms did not like it one bit. The fall out from sledge fest amuses me too. Got to play this Test series hard and don't mind the mental wars too but Warner in not shrewd at it but the over the top complaints from some Poms and Flower is somewhat funny to watch on.
If I was Aussies I would not let up on them but don't follow Warner's lead as he is a man of his own crazy style on twitter and media in general. He lives and dies by the sword and bat and mouth and keyboard...lol
+1

Absolutely loving it but I wouldn't be resting anyone quite yet. We've got a good mix going and a bit of c*nt about us at the moment so let em keep going I say.

Good to see the poms out on the town too, hopefully they were on the sauce and ruining the preparation.

Thoughts after day 1? We must have the slight edge at the moment but no one was able to really go on with. Hopefully pup does :)

Interestingly poised. If we can push on to ~450 then definitely in the box seat, but we could just as easily be bowled out for ~350 in which case England on top. Pitch looks very dry. Lyon and Smith to relive Warnies heroics of 06/07?

Hope so! The draw was actually favourite (by the bookies anyway) coming into this test. Not sure how often that happens but I liked our odds so whacked a pineapple on it at 2.60. Bit of extra beer money would be great heading into this time of the year :D

Often a good chance of a draw in Adelaide as it tends to be a road for the first few days. The pitch seems to be a lot dryer than usual however so I would expect it to break up a lot more on days 4-5, lots of variable bounce and sharp turn from the rough, so I would be leaning towards a result. I'd hate to deprive you of beer money though :)

Did not see much of todays play apart from early session with rain effecting things progressing further. Seeing stumps scores I feel England would have slightly better of the day. Australia would want 450 plus to feel they got a half decent first innings on here. Plenty can still happen to swing the game either way so neither team will feel very satisfied they got upper hand after first day. It would have been nice if at least one of our guys converted good start into a century but if Clarke or Haddin can cash in we still could post a good score. Hopefully Johnson bats well again and we post a good first innings total. Anything less than 380 I would not be satisfied with.

Yeah the headline on cricinfo is Missed chances cost England ground so they must've been a chance at being ahead or slightly are.

Rogers said it was like a 3rd day pitch which probably means days 4 and 5 will be a nightmare to bat on. I won't get to see any cricket til Sunday so hoping we're well ahead by then and putting them to the sword :D

Australia 9/570 (Declared) off 158 Overs

Johnson strikes in the 3rd over to remove Cook, England 1/9.

Johnson bowling some serious heat, constantly 150 atm.

Lyon also getting a lot of turn considering we are only 10 overs into the innings. He is all over Carberry.
