Not trying to restart the argument, but if we have a closer look at the stats, we can start to reason how/why Oliver scored how he did.

View attachment 19285

22% of 9 kicks is still 2/9. Pretty sure that the 7 kicks does not go into the 4 clangers left over of Oliver's after Free-Kicks Against are deducted.

I remember discussing 'Neutral Kicks' earlier in the season and Erich confirmed these stats for us. Oliver's kicks may have been 22% effective, but means 3-4 could have been neutral kicks, meaning he still scores positive points for them. Clearances are worth a motza as everyone knows as well, of which he got 7.

I think Clarry is someone who gets unfairly maligned by some members because the disposals they remember are the bad ones (and some of them are goddarn awful).

His stats are not dissimilar to Rockliff's either, who didn't win as much of his own ball (hence 5 less CP and 7 less clearances). That difference was nearly made up by the free kicks that Oliver gave away + clangers.
8 Tackles (2nd on ground and 1st for Melb)
Only 4 of 44 players involved recorded 5 or more.
Melbourne Tackles= 42- C Oliver 19.05% (8/42)
CPR%= 60.87% (14/23)

Doedee owners, who is trading into Hurn this week.
Do not want to use Williamson score, unless of course he throws up an 80+ tonight.

Egg at D6 with brander and Williamson on the bench.
To me it sounds like Doedee could maybe have played at a pinch, so I'm holding and expecting him back next match.

I've gone Williamson to Hurn and will use McPherson as Doedee cover. With a little luck Doedee being out might help his scoring, like last match.

It's a Christmas in July miracle, and I know it’s early, but Williamson is actually scoring Relatively well for me at the moment! Probably only need him for one for week, so this is his week.

If teams have cover for Doedee that seems reasonable.

Teams without cover need to consider their options and whether a 1 weeker is their current biggest problem.

Agree with this. I also have Doedee in DT but with no cover. Personally I'm taking the donut. Not worth trading (with fewer trades in that format) to cover a donut that might only be worth 40 points.
