I see what you mean. That's why I'm looking also at players that aren't going to be popular picks next year like Varcoe.
I'd like to look left afield as well but maybe not varcoe. But if rookie price then yes. But my forward rookies are kersten, hogan and j martin (depending if he is a forward).

Jack Martin's a MID, and will be priced higher than number draft pick!

Do yourself a favour and forget about Varcoe. Will only **** you off all year.

Also Daisy Thomas will be mid only according to them which means he's no chance of being in my team (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).

Mitch Clark, Nathan Bock, Viv Michie, Karnezis (*shudders*) all have to come into consideration.
Dangerfield, 2 premium, 3 mid-pricer/bock might be a popular strategy.
Could also throw in Michie in there as bench or support for bock.

I'll be really hot on some Essendon boys! Bellchambers (fwd/ruc), Howlett (mid/fwd), potentially old man chappy too! :p
I think old man chappy is bit a bit over priced though, very high risk, reward!

With the slim pickings in the F/R, i might go bellchambers just for the connection between categories. Unless there is no one better.

After seeing the possible position changes, I'm thinking Danger, Dusty, Franklin, 2 of Rioli, Pav and Motlop, Bock and 2 rookies.

That's a shame.
As a MID only, unlikely to be in my team as well...sigh...

Chappy is a lock if he retains his DPP to replace Daisy in my team....

He has Mid/Fwd for 2014!

Definitely worth considering if fit, however it is almost guaranteed he will be rested regularly throughout the season. Potentially 4-5 games on, 1 game off. It's a high risk, high reward pick.
