I wouldn't consider myself an expert despite being a Pies fan, although I think history suggests we typically don't rest players like some clubs do. Guys like Grundy and Pendles play every game unless they can't in my view. Closer to the Swans approach as I see it.
This season is obviously somewhat different, and Bucks has talked about taking a squad mentality:

Do injuries to guys like a Treloar make us less able to rest Grundy, or more willing to do so to avoid an injury? It's a tough one.
I haven't watched us play a lot recently but the numbers have suggested to me that Grundy is not right. He seems to be muscling through it, but maybe that hits a limit at some point.
I think it may have been @Herbie66 that gave a view on why Cameron was left out - possibly Reid going out?

something like 3 of devon smith, hill, bennell, buderick, Mcpherson to Cripps and 2 rookies
then the other 2 plus aarts to a final premo plus 2 rookies in round 12 (leaving 8 trades)
after that it will probably just be 1 rookie downgrade a week while sidewaysing one or more premiums across the byes with my other weekly trades until they run out

He's had a very weird season in my view. I was warning people away from him a few weeks ago as he had many, maybe most, stats plumbing multi year lows in a way that indicated to me that he either wasn't right or was playing a different role ... no scoring shots at all, tackles down, more rebound 50s, fewer inside 50s, touches down even adjusting for game minutes, etc.
Some of that has been addressed in recent weeks, but not all of it, and not consistently.
Personally I plan to get him next round though. He generally plays 22 games, will have had his bye, and is averaging 114 notwithstanding all of the above. Even I feel he regressed to 2015-16 scoring levels, that was a 104 average and he is a full time mid now.
114 is 8th for pure mids, and ahead of him are a number of guys who are unreliable in getting on the park or unproven at that sort of level. Neale, Oliver and Macrae are the only proven and durable mids ahead of him, and I'm lucky to have all of them. I think the downside risk is modest and there's decent scope for upside if he kicks into gear.

Wow - so only 4 rookies have made $160k. And two of them were basically auto-picks. Had 3 out of 4.
I've also had Ridley, Brayshaw, Doedee ... but paid premium prices for Ridley, and traded Brayshaw befor he started playing well. Also switched Petracca out for Ceglar late in round one because of the bonus ruck points ... fair to say it's been a mixed bag!
