weren't you the one who said dusty isn't a lock? not trying to pick a fight or anything. but today's news has wreaked havoc in the forward line options.

Probably that time was when we all believed NicNat, Cox, Rockliff, Daisy still had the DDP status and we were kinda spoilt for choice.

Anyone else a little surprised that given Rocky lost DPP that Martin has retained it?

I would have thought that Martin would have played a majority of his footy on the ball last year resting forward.

I agree given that Rocky, Cox, Nic Nat have all lost DPP that Martin at this stage is pretty much assured of a spot in my starting team.

I'm more shocked that Danger got DPP while Rocky (who imo spent more time up forward this year than Danger) lost his. I feel like VS only focus on the latter parts of the season when they decide on player positions.

If Dangerfield is a FWD/MID in Supercoach it is basically meaning he is virtually in everyones team like Goddard down back when he was DEF/MID last season or Gibbs too before his hammy. It is one aspect of SC game that is less interesting when coaches don't have to think much and some players everyone gets.
It was more fun when people had to think whether to have Dangerfield in our out of their side.....:)

Well, they've changed the rookie prices and that is huge.
It used to be non-brainer to grab the top draftees as cash cows but now with many of them at mid-price, it's not clear cut anymore.

Yeah sad, Rockliff was a lock a month ago but as a MID, not likely to be picked ahead of Ablett, Pendles, Jelwood, Watson

Until I see the actual prices, salary cap and size of squads to work with in 2014 Supercoach game I don't read too much into what I've heard apart from position changes from Virtual Sports. The prices I'll worry about when I actually see them. I'm not even looking at or reading into any price about Dreamteam because I know it can be quite different mechanics at work in how prices off both games work. I probably won't even play Dreamteam in 2014 as FDL and Supercoach I want to focus on and get better at. Positions are the things that seem to be same in the last two years I've taken notice. Last pre-season, like most on here I got right into speculating about choosing players and all types of things but I saw it was mostly wasted time due to so many changes SC would make later on. This pre-season I have not bothered with any speculation at all. Now position changes for VS starting to get known it makes it more interesting to speculate on possibilites for SC.

That's only DT. Probably 50/50 whether they will change it to similar for SC.

Exactly right. They really ought to get a better feel for the game and know putting Danger as a forward takes away a decision (and fun of making a decision). Maybe next year it'll be Gaz made M/F lol
