Simpson > Wicks
Noble > Stewart
maybe Rivers > Sholl,

If Rivers isn't named again I've got Rivers and Keane on the bench and I want some cover. Not sure at all about Sholl's job security but he was a pretty good SANFL player last year, so he should be able to score semi decently as a cover player (55-70avg).

The following week I'll do Pickett down and Aarts to Brayshaw/Walters/Greenwood and will be at full premium with Doedee, Yeo and Dev Smith my three weakest links. Will have 6 trades left to ride out the year for injuries, to get some swing coverage or upgrade a weaker "premium".

Good info, thanks. Do you know Sholl’s role (this year or last)?

I note that they’re playing the kids but also that Smith and Sloane may be back soon. Also interested as a Laird/Doedee/McPherson owner across formats.

Luke parker only scored scored below 100 twice this year

but ive had him for those 2 and will be shafting him this week

isnt coping well trying to keep up the midfield on his own and as a pod isnt doing me any favours :(

Just letting you all know because i have seen a few possibly targeting him soon, so go ahead because he is guaranteed a 150 avg now

Sholl was a rebounding half-back in the SANFL according to the prospectus and had a 33 disposal/129 SuperCoach score game in Round 2 of last year & he averaged 19 disposals for the season. It also says he averaged the 4th most SuperCoach points of any general defender aged 21 or under in the SANFL (not sure how much of an endorsement that really is). He also gets a cash cow symbol. Never seen much of him myself so maybe some crows fans could talk about him?

It's weird he only just got a call up now given their injuries and that might be a worry.

I'm inclined to strike while the iron is hot:

Gawn to Naitanui
Noble to Watson
Bennell to Cripps

Leaves 8 trades, one MID and one DEF upgrade to do and $204k ITB

Team would be:

Lloyd, Ridley, Doch, Houston, Stewart, McKay (Watson, Williams)
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Cripps, Merrett, Viney, Whitfield, Coniglio (Pickett, Simpson, Mahoney)
Grundy, Naitanui (Draper)
B Smith, D Smith, Simpkin, Dusty, Petracca, Georgiades (Cameron, Comben)

Gives me 17 prem and 5 rookies for this week.

Thoughts?

Keep Gawn-
Out: B Starcevich, C Budarick, T Rivers, In: H Schoenberg, T Watson and S Draper

H Bennell/S Simpson and M Ling/B Williams to S Wicks and Z Williams in RD12.

Trade Gawn-
Out: M Gawn, B Starcevich, C Budarick
In: S Draper, H Andrews, N Fyfe
1596853462490.png 1596853477406.png
RD12- C Serong to M9 unless Dusty goes to the fwd line and Rozee to F7. Serong and Simpson cash can be used to move Draper to R3 if I decide to get Gawn back or Goldy or even facilitate a Yeo to Neale trade.

Out: M Gawn, C Budarick, S Simpson
In: O McInenrey, S Draper, L Neale

Finally grab L Neale and C Serong moves to M9 in RD11 unless I switch D Martin to the fwd line and bench Rozee to field Serong.

Out: M Gawn, B Starcevich, C Budarick
In: O McInerney, S Draper, Z Williams

Allows S Simpson and H Bennell to N Fyfe/L Parker and S Wicks next round.

So i have had parker for about 6 weeks now

tbh hasnt been too good, let me down quite alot and struggles especially since he is the only big body in sydney midfield

think it is worth trading him out this week?

will be bringing in cripps and maybe serong???

330k serong could avg 100, im liking what im seeing
How does Serong score with Fyfe and Walters both available? It's been a while since they've both played (round 6 in fact).
Does Serong spend as much time in the middle now?

I needed to generate some cash and get rid of Rivers.

Balta has the advantage of being able to swing with McInerney and I still have Draper on the bench.

Bugger it , I have mentioned him enough times the past few weeks so time to take a Big O ride

Noble - > Jobe
KKP - > Big O
Tobias - > Boots

then Tay Tay time in Round 12

time for even more fun (or tears)
Leaves me $ 136,100.00 and a Forward line of :-

Whitfield F/M
Butler
Ladhams F/R
Ceglar F/R
Smith , D F/M
Big O F/R
--------------
TJL
Mahony F/M

B Smith & Close in the mids
Draper R2 with Cameron R3

Round 12

Bennell - > Wicks
Ladhams (?) - > Adams/Taranto

Greenwood/Simpkin

or start looking for another "fun" player

Thank you, that’s great info.

Your last point is the one I was a bit concerned about.

@Drew @Juzzo @madmunza - do you have a view on him?

Hey guys! Any chance you would know what Trey Ruscoe's JS is like? Would he play in the next 4-5 games at least?
I wouldn't think it is high unless he starts hitting the scoreboard more.
Appleby looms as an alternative if he doesn't. A defensive forward who has been scoring pretty regularly at the lower level. Most were surprised Ruscoe got a game this week accordingly.
Varcoe another that could come in and play a role.

I think he did enough to hold his spot this week though. Thomas and Phillips have underperformed for long stretches and need to be 'rested', albeit Phillips endurance may keep him in the team, despite his poor disposal and the shorter quarters not suiting him.
I expect Hoskin-Elliott will get rested this week given he is banged up, which will assist his prospects.
Elliott could get rested too given his hamstring history.

Trey is a good mover and I think his defensive game isn't too bad, despite the concerns of others.
But 4-5 weeks is a long time in football for a player of his credentials to hold his spot.

I don't think Walters is playing this week.
Yes, had seen that. But the point still holds if you're considering bringing Serong into your team at $330k as opposed to holding onto him.
I personally wouldn't believe Serong continues to attend as many centre bounces, nor score as highly as the past 2 games suggests he is capable.
