I'm inclined to strike while the iron is hot:

Gawn to Naitanui
Noble to Watson
Bennell to Cripps

Leaves 8 trades, one MID and one DEF upgrade to do and $204k ITB

Team would be:

Lloyd, Ridley, Doch, Houston, Stewart, McKay (Watson, Williams)
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Cripps, Merrett, Viney, Whitfield, Coniglio (Pickett, Simpson, Mahoney)
Grundy, Naitanui (Draper)
B Smith, D Smith, Simpkin, Dusty, Petracca, Georgiades (Cameron, Comben)

Gives me 17 prem and 5 rookies for this week.

Thoughts?
I guess the alternative is to trade Gawn to a premuim mid and run Draper at R2 for a while.

Gawn to Cripps
Noble to Laird
Bennell to Schoenberg

With $248k ITB?

Looks like Duncan has slipped to 13th in the mid averages , 110 including a 18.
Perhaps adjust for the 18, when it was a 1Q hamstring injury that caused it?
Average of 124 excluding that injury week, which ranks him 2nd of the mids behind Oliver and ahead of Macrae and Steele.
That's the only week his score has slipped below 100 all season too. Hasn't missed a beat since returning.

Have you considered Big O instead of Nic Nat ? Especially with both Cameron & Comben to allow a look at Draper at R2 also gives you Forward cover.

Extra $ 100 k in the Bank as well.

Option 1: Starc > Watson; Bennell > Schoenberg/Wicks; Cameron to Simpkin (Def and Forwardline complete)

Option 2: Starc > Watson; Bennell > Schoenberg/Wicks; Cameron to Big O. (Def and Forwardline complete - allows the option of swinging O into the ruck if Gawn is out for an extended period. Also have Draper, however.)

Option 3: Gawn > go nuts and bring in Mitchell and... haven't really worked that option out.

Edit: Option 3: Starc > Watson; Gawn> Big O; Bennell > Mitchell

(I'm looking at finalising my forwardline this week as it gives me more cover for this bye. Then the final task will be the midfield.)
(Option 3 actually kills two birds with one stone... seemingly)

Any Votes/Thoughts appreciated.

Just amazes me that he continually gets under rated and barely mentioned , I actually did a search last night to see if their was another mid called Duncan in case old age has affected me 😀

Been getting the job done for seasons now.

Cheers Herbie, I would prefer not to commit to another trade. Not sure about Big O, he seems to score like a yo-yo even with Martin out of the team.

If I was going to trade Gawn, would prefer it to be to a bye free player too, hence NN.

Once again thanks for your thoughts :)

In the last two weeks with ($200,000 aprox in the kitty) I've traded out Gawn, Brander, McInerny, C Taylor,Rankine and Pickett for Duncan, Stewart, Petracca, Simpkin,Tobe Watson, and Shoenberg.
So out 1 super premo , in 4 premos.
Very nice trading
I’m 1 super premo more then that as my bank was bad

But
Outs
Jelly Sicily brander Pickett Taylor rankine
ins
Fyfe titch Duncan Stewart schoey Draper
seems a big win

With no Walters available, going with
Starcevic>Watson
Pickett>Schoenberg
Bennell>Greenwood(moving Close to mids)
Greenwood still has a high breakeven but going with it because I have 3 forward rookies on field at the moment and not really sure about taking Simpkin.
Leaves 3 upgrades, gonna be tight on trades while finishing my team, might be 3 or 4 left at the end of the upgrade/downgrade process.

No worries

8 trades left , possibly/probably more to come

DPP flexibility

no Forward cover (if Cameron doesn't return)

option of looking at Draper's score via Comben

remove his FA and he is looking 85-90 ppg

condensed fixture again could impact Nic Nat

the Big O ride is about to take off

good luck

Classic slingshot from a higher priced keeper with the bye to a lower priced keeper who has had their bye. Perfect move this year with the extra trades and less rounds.
I think I'll hold off on it, it will get me 56k and whatever extra points Titch scores over Pickett this week, if I knew that Rivers was playing I'd probably do the trade but I think I should get some cover there and pocket 43k instead.

Annoyingly have to lock in all my trades prior to the Fremantle side being confirmed.

Who do we think could be the outs for Freo with Hill and Aish confirmed as ins?

I'm hoping Duman? Colyer? Fredricks? Crowden? Would they all be out before Watson?

I'll actually put Pickett on the bench with an E today and decide whether it's worth doing JKelly to Titch that way! seems very obvious now haha. I have a full premo midfield minus Kelly this week.

If Pickett scores an average score and if Rivers is named I think I make the trade, if he's not I'll probably trade Rivers instead.

Keep Gawn-
Out: B Starcevich, C Budarick, T Rivers, In: H Schoenberg, T Watson and S Draper
View attachment 19646 View attachment 19647
H Bennell/S Simpson and M Ling/B Williams to S Wicks and Z Williams in RD12.

Trade Gawn-
Out: M Gawn, B Starcevich, C Budarick
In: S Draper, H Andrews, N Fyfe
View attachment 19648 View attachment 19649
RD12- C Serong to M9 unless Dusty goes to the fwd line and Rozee to F7. Serong and Simpson cash can be used to move Draper to R3 if I decide to get Gawn back or Goldy or even facilitate a Yeo to Neale trade.

Out: M Gawn, C Budarick, S Simpson
In: O McInenrey, S Draper, L Neale
View attachment 19656 View attachment 19657
Finally grab L Neale and C Serong moves to M9 in RD11 unless I switch D Martin to the fwd line and bench Rozee to field Serong.

Out: M Gawn, B Starcevich, C Budarick
In: O McInerney, S Draper, Z Williams
View attachment 19653 View attachment 19654

Allows S Simpson and H Bennell to N Fyfe/L Parker and S Wicks next round.
I would rather have Serong on field.
Good Luck.

Option two with Balta is another option.

Sounds good, I traded Gawn last week by accident and it worked out well with Draper at R2 and Cameron at R3 as cover. So I'm all for trading Gawn with only 7 rounds left.
I don't mind English,he can still get big scores.
