I think my strategy of getting uber premos will mean I will struggle to get all rooks off field. I still have 4 rooks on field aftwr trades this week. I'm banking on plenty of best 18 rounds and my big dogs continuing to pump out more 150 plus scores

Currently have 4 rookies on field.
Trade plans next week to bring in another keeper, then work out how to add another 3 as they are all FWDs.

I sometimes struggle with the 'premo' label, it appears to mean different things to different people.

Hey guys. Haven’t posted in a week or so which seems like 2 rounds ago lol.

Down to 119th overall. Basically being super aggressive now with my trades. Had a good start to this weeks games with: Macrae, Neale VC, Bont, McInerney and Witherden. Now to decide whether Gawn to Goldy makes sense! Hope everyone is staying safe, especially my fellow Victorians in our never ending lockdown.

4 to go, 2 in the mids and 2 in the forward line - and that’s if you count Dev Smith as a keeper. Only problem is not sure where I’m going to make the cash. $122k in the bank and only Aarts and Pickett doing well in the cash generation department. Traded in Woodcock this round, which was definitely a win but other than that I’ve got Starcevich, Close, McHenry, Skinner and Sturt that are all doing not much at all. Hopefully Woodcock keeps go8ng strong. Definitely time to cut my loses and trade out Starcevich I think.

Could potentially look back at this very moment at seasons end as a crystal ball moment especially if maxy is to go on and miss another week or more. I’d be trading him just because your rank is so high. How are you situated with trades left and rookies needed to be upgraded on field

Good job RB looked at Zorko as a potential pod in the mids but inevitably ended up going Fyfe and Mitchell. There is prob 10-16 mids that you could have in your side so I like the different choice especially when you get a good 150+ score outta it

If I make the trade I’ll have 9 left. Plan is next week to have 1 downgrade then upgrade 2 of Rankine/King/ Aarts. Will leave me with 22 on field non rookies. Few sort of premos in Doedee and McGrath etc, but all non rookies. Keeping 6 trades basically for injuries or when byes come. Running low after next week, but I reckon I’ve got to be aggressive as it’s what I’ve done all year.

Saunders is expecting Smith to back , taking a conservative approach with Hamill.

As for that seen nothing else , more excited with Sloane and Crouch due back soon.

Clark , JJ & Sparkle all played a reserves game on Thursday.

Cockatoo also performed well.

Actually finding the clubs are having some good articles on their websites this year.

I'm thinking this is maybe the way to go if you're a bit short on trades. The impact of carrying a rookie (especially a decent scoring one like Serong say) is lessened by the fact that maybe 5 of the last 9 rounds are best 18 and you won't need their score.

After this round I've got 8 trades left: Serong + Simpson in mids, Draper R2 and D Smith + Rankine up forward. I've also got 7 "premo" defenders somehow :rolleyes: (if you count Hurn and Houston).

Two trades puts Big O or Simpkin in up forward, 2 trades to upgrade Simpson, maybe one trade from Serong to a super mid and two trades to bring back Gawn (maybe).

Too easy right? One left for injuries :LOL:.
