Out: S Drinkwater and R Matterson
In: J Trbojevic and K Ponga

Unfortunately the Matterson trade didn’t turn out as planned and I can finally grab Ponga as well as hopefully relegating Kikau to the bench by selecting 1 of my favourites from last season.

Aubusson on to replace Best, Ponga in the 17 with Grant missing and Jurbo replaces Averillo in the 17.
Woo-hoo.

K Ponga+ J Trbojevic + M Aubusson= 333

Might be time to rethink my perma captain Tedesco plan.

Currently 1393 and hopefully updates can help push me past my highest score ever (1408).

Only 3 players below 60 which included captain Tedesco, Carrigan and Cook. Ecstatic with my new recruits over the last couple of rounds in C McInnes, M Aubusson, J Trbojevic and K Ponga all firing.

Will be very interesting to see what the highest score was this round as I assume there would have to be a 1500-1600 scored.

What a cracking week, well done!
I like your current trades, Grant and Best are sells and with both Thomson and Sironen back this week so Olakau'atu would be back to the bench, not sure I'd want that AE issue. I'm holding Rudolph for a little longer with some cash to make and a decent play in my 17 this week.

1274 for me, moves me up 315 places to 1487 overall.
Instead of Best to Jazz I stupidly traded Lucy to Bateman which meant I plated Williams which cost me a lot of point, but content to now have Bateman now for the Raiders good run.

Looks like I gain matto back this week but loose munster and possibly taupau, which at this stage i'd like to keep both, with Smith also out means I run thin again another week, surely Williams does something decent against the Broncos, the blokes driving me nuts but this the one week to play him surely!

Thinking Kerr / Best to Paulo / ?, maybe just a nuff or possibly Tristan Sailor, a starting half available CTW, bloke goes well, just Dragons are a lottery. I would like Jazz but still need to see that extra 10 mins, maybe.....

Thanks. Upon closer look I'll avoid Tevaga as I can select a Matterson/Bateman/Crichton via McInnes now or later.

Which option do you prefer?
Out: H Grant and B Best
In: J Bateman and M Sivo

or
Out: B Best and T Rudolf
In: M Sivo and L Mitchell

As for your side, would you be able to post your team (pre trades) to help with recommendations?

Sorry messed up trying to screenshot my team like you do it
Current team is

Mcinnes/CS9
Haas/Taupau/Rudolph/Kerr
Lolo/Bateman/Matto/Carro/Fermor/Anderson
Cleary/Williams
SJ/Munster
Lomax/Nofo/Yeo/Shiba/Best/Hammer/Williame
Teddy/Ponga

Of the trades you list I like the first one, Grant and Best are sells over Rudolph. Liddle is back for the tigers who is their future so when Grant is fit I have doubts over his role especially if Tigers become out of contention, they will develop their own player over grant. Latrell has some decent games coming I am looking it has merit, gee if only he was kicking! Aubo starting again in the backrow is a definite play so you don't need to bring in any centres this week, maybe even nuff best and cash up so you can just do one trade next week and save one, eg Averillo to Munster! You will need to be ready to replace Aubo as soon as hes benched though to make the most of his cash.

I've said all along I will get sivo at some point but gee he has such a low floor, without tries hes nothing I just don't know. Mansour is a target ahead for me as hes due for a stack of tries, but I may have to forgo CTW yet again play Shiba this week as I am so thin. I see Sivo as you almost have to play him every game and over 4 rounds you get a good average. To try and pick and choose is what happened to me with Staggs last year, every time I played him got nothing every time i didn't he bloody tonned up!

Also don't get me wrong I'm still all over Jazz, reading a little more today his minutes last week could have been a bit effected by 2 sin bins for the warriors which made it hard for him to get back on the field. Hetherington gone probably means Tohu plays 80 on edge rather than rest Jazz, the bloke only needs 60 mins and he'll average 70-80, he just probably hold more risk over say Dfifi but the dual is very valuable.

with 11 trades left I see kerr, rudolph, williams, hammer, shiba, best all as trade outs with Taupau and Carro maybes, so that does not leave much wiggle room and why I'm going to hold CS9 and munster, at least one more week at this stage.

I'd prefer to move Hammer this week, I see he's been moved back to the wing which turns him into a mini sivo situation, potential for more tries, at some point he will get a ton, but he will have zero base there but with him and best not sure if i got to mansour or Jazz (or Junior Paulo whos my FRF target at the moment), doubt over Taupau says I need to look at FRF / 2RF over CTW

Great side considering Smith and Munster are on the sidelines.

If Taupau misses, you can utilise the Cardigan and Kerr dpp meaning Rudolf will not need to be in your 17.

As for the CTW upgrades, I think the 3 best options in no particular order are Mansour, Sivo and Mitchell.

Can you turn both HTF and Best into Sivo and Mansour or do funds not permit?

Thanks, yea don't think I've played Kerr once this year but he's been so handy for the dual and made a little cash, I've been a fan of his for a while and started with him as I expected more minutes than he has gotten even when he's starting which is a shame, I probably nuff him next week to identical dual Tom Ale or the like.

Agree with your CTW's, but i would say this is the week for Latrel otherwsie I think I'll look elsewhere unless something happens to Reynolds and Latrel kicks. I'm still watching Mann closely at Hooker too, he was owed a try assist last week and played the last 15 minutes in the centres as cover so i think he still could be a very solid base option in CTW. The only other one I may hold out for is Will Hopoate, but it seems hes still a week away then I'd need to be sure hes fullback for the dogs, he might be a late season option of a Latrel downgrade once his draw toughens up.

I am working on the assumption Marty wont play and working backwards from there but I really do now want to hold him now AFB out, Marty been going great and averaging 80 with AFB out. I thought him more likely to not play but as he's been named maybe he's passing protocols so far ok, geez i need him to.

My scenarios for Taupau are
1) plays, 4th reserve still has to be williams
2) ruled out at Captains Run Saturday, Take the R off him and play Rudolph
3) ruled out Sunday, Take the AE

I'm looking at selling Hammer and Best but only have $31k ITB so cant get 2 guns, so its to a nuff (Ben Trbo) and either a gun 2RF or FRF from Jazz, Dfifi, Paulo, Klemmer, Jurbo via Anderson dual. Am ok to play Shibasaki as my 4th CTW next few weeks with decent matchups and Ponga back in form, so will look to a bargain Sivo / Mansour CTW next week via Kerr / Rudolph, once I get hopefully at the least Taupau and CS9 reliably back on deck. This way if I take the AE for Marty with out of Kerr and Rudolph, with Kerr starting this week hes safe for 40-50 so that's pretty good and gives me a free look at a VC loop, probably cleary with C on SJ, Lolo or even Bateman.

This could be all ruined now with the news Aitkins from dragons has signed with warriors and Williame is 18th man, I can see Aitkins being sat out for the rest of the year.

I don't like planning to use an AE as I am so thin anyway if I get a late out I could be stuck with a 0 but I think the risk vs reward of holding Smith, Munster and Taupau while cleaning our some rubbish this week is worth it, this may influence who I bring in as I may be able hold both trades until the Cows game Saturday if were to get Say Dfifi or Klemmer, rules out Jazz and Paulo though who are my higher preference.

I'm probably leaning Jazz or Difif just because they a little bit cheaper, Jazz for dual but minutes are a ?, Dfifi needs attacking stats and Broncos are a trainwreck but plays 80 and has a bigger potential to go large.

More thinking required :)

Big mistake selling Lomax for two rounds but these things happen and 7 rounds to go. He may come back next round.

OUTS : Fui, HTF
INS : Papalii, JFerris

Team after trades
Bsmith, (CS9)

Cleary, Pearce*

Yeo, Nofo, SCrichton, Ikuvalu, (Funa, Williame, JFerris)

Next week Pearce & Iku probably gone.

I realised I'd preferred McInnes and Lomax, but that was after their scores compared to Bsmith, Bateman. I'm one to move on so let's see how this week does. Most importantly I moved Fui, and HTF the AE nightmares.

I'll need to move Musgrove and Willame, although uncertainly Williame will play again.

I'm in a similar boat. I'll be holding CS9 also.
I'm liking your Mansour choice for the run home. Mansours draw looks good. Latrell doesn't seem to be doing much to gain points these days. I think he's warming to the FB role for South and is looking a little more SC friendly. Perhaps an option?

I've had a rethink and would like some advice. I've looked at removing Fui and HTF but HTF has been moved to the wing. I'm thinking definitely Fui, any other thoughts would be appreciated. I'm really keen to move back under 2k in the next few weeks and @Connoisseur I think your team is looking so much better than perhaps a few weeks back. Well done.

Heres mine pretrades.

So was looking at Fui, HTF > Papalii and JFerris, leaves $22k
But also would like Latrell, could do 1 trade only Fui > Latrell leave $6k
This could allow me to switch Iku for Lomax for the run home, leaving me what looks to be 5 good CTWs, 5 solid 2RFs

Or, ACrichton and Fui out, Papalii and Latrell in??

2 of my favourite players from last season return and hopefully can manage a debut similar to Jurbo and Ponga last round. Continuing that theme, it seems only fitting to move away from the perma Tedesco captaincy strategy to give N Cleary the captaincy duties.

Cleary/Bateman VC, to Ponga C
