Depends on the rookies.

Suspect Macrae , Mitchell , Neale , Oliver will be the popular 4.

Majority won't consider Petracca if he is a mid.

Lloyd in defence , 2 premium rucks

7 players for close to $ 4.5 - $ 5.0 million
Crippa as a top quality value option as well I reckon. Maybe people go 3 of the 4 you mentioned plus 1-2 slightly discounted types.

Their was a interesting post on him showing his last 18 months scores or something , highlighting that he is perhaps not the SC beast we all think he is.
He’s barely had two tons in a row since round 6 last year (R1-3 the exception, including the break) but he’s only 25 and I suspect will do better when Kreuzer returns.

I was trying to find the actual post , was 2-3 weeks ago , fascinating to read.

I thought their was a table preseason that showed his scores had dropped off when Curnow and Murphy moved back into the midfield as well , so perhaps with their other mids developing , eg Setterfield their is less reliance on Cripps.

Every time I see him in TV he looks banged up , so his game style might be affecting his body as well

Will keep trying to find the post while finding a alternative defender to bring in for Sicily.

With Brouch back and Sloane in better condition surely they won’t be as dreadful ? Still should be a huge score for some players against them but I doubt we see the Oliver/Petracca/Bont/Bailey Smith type scores within the same games
We've been slaughtered in clearance for 2 years now. Matt Crouch's opponent is BOG every week. His brother is poor defensively and Sloane is not Sloane in the midfield anymore. well at least not right now due to injuries. Watch the Cats mids pile it on this week.

Yeah they’re still going to be very easy to score against but if a fit BCrouch is winning the ball (taking it off the opposition) and Sloane is fit it’s not gonna be a Bont 199, Oliver 205 etc

Another one to add to the list, a la H Andrews-

P Cripps:
When selected by @Connoisseur (RD12 2019 to RD8 2020): 107.17 from 17 (8/17 below 100, 5/17 120+)
When not selected by @Connoisseur (RD1 2018 to RD11 2019): 118.55 from 33 (8/33 below 100, 14/33 120+)
Update:
When selected by @Connoisseur (RD12 2019 to RD18 2020): 104.38 from 26 (13/26 below 100, 7/26 120+)
When not selected by @Connoisseur (RD1 2018 to RD11 2019): 118.55 from 33 (8/33 below 100, 14/33 120+)

As with most years, I will be scraping the barrell to finish my midfield. I should be able to afford two mids in that 500-550k range in the coming weeks. Don’t have Macrae, Oliver or Jelly but don’t see how I can afford even one. Do have Neale and Titch.

Looking at “fallen” prems who have already had their bye. Options are Parker, Merrett, Gaff, Yeo, Telly, Taranto.

Front runners for me actually are Parker and Yeo!
Interesting points you have raised. I was thinking of prioritizing 22 prem scorers so I’m not so blown away when other premiums are missing in bye rounds. There will be at least two 4+ team byes to come, probably don’t have the luxury to sideswap everyone out (will only have 4 trades after completing my side). Players will be rested too in the condensed schedule (likely from Ess/Dees who won’t have a bye). Not so sure I can always hit 18 premos playing in a round with only a pool of 21 premos.

I have Danger and Bont as options potentially to swap around their byes, so it’s not as though Jelly, Macrae and Oliver types are completely out of my plans.

I’m hoping I can find a Treloar post bye 2019 type. I paid about 510k for him post byes last year and he became a very important player, averaging ~125 on the run home. Hoping I can find someone with some positive reversions (and Macrae and Oliver types can go back to scoring in that 110 range!)
Zerrett done very nicely for me, as my 2020 “Treloar”. Averaged 123 in my side when I picked him up for 540k.

Parker didn’t quite work out at 530k, only averaged 100 (and I intend to trade him out with my luxury trade).

Gaff was the one to get after his bye for a 111 avg for only 500k or so.

Never underestimate the power of a good fallen premo!
