Thinking I'll give Oliver the C over Neale, Pies just used Pendles to tag Cripps and if I remember correctly in 2019 they paid Neale a fair bit of attention. Titch into Oliver.

Played very well v Geelong for 3 quarters then got over run.

Poor skills and decision making let them down , plus missed a few chances that you need to convert at this level.

I think their mids even won contested ball for the first time in a long time.

Fog & Tex can't seem to gel at all , Himmelberg is starting to show signs , the 3-4 smalls need to follow Richmond's lead and just pressure , pressure all game.

I normally look at the bench when making my tips ...

- On face value I'd say the Crows have the better bench .... but they also have two on field rookies .... so it balances out to some degree ...

I wonder how many times they start the same way as named.

Laird might still start CBA if they stick to that , would think they just go same old Crouch x 2 + Keays in the run with role , Sloane HF or Wing

The Pies ran Treloar on him last year. I suspect Pendles will try and negate his influence from the CBs and Greenwood (rested last game) will go to him from there.

Yeah that's what I thought, thanks for confirming. Buckley has only really tagged a very small contingent of elite players over the past few years, namely Cripps, Dusty and Neale

Yeah that's what I thought, thanks for confirming. Buckley has only really tagged a very small contingent of elite players over the past few years, namely Cripps, Dusty and Neale

Interesting to think about ....

For me it will come down to two alternate factors outside of the midfield ...

- BRI ... shakey but not the worst defence .... vs a ?? COL FWD line conversion ... if COL bomb it in I expect Andrews to have a field day ...
- COL ... reasonably solid defence but against a ?? BRI FWD line ... likewsie if BRI bomb it in I expect Maynard to have a field day ...

They put a fair bit of work into Neale in Round 4 of last year and he only scored 91 and my thinking is given that mostly Pendles put a fair bit of work into Cripps (at least for the first 2-3 quarters) last week the same might happen to Neale.

Sydney haven't been tagging as far as I'm aware since Hewett was injured and even if they tag Petracca would be the likely target.

BRI defence will have their hands full with the COL tall, Mihocek & Stephensen straightens them up as they're more leading forwards. COL didn't bomb much against the CAR, they used their HHF & HBF to either get to within scoring distance or hit up a leading forward, I suspect they will deploy similar tactics for this round. Maybe even Ruscoe in for Cameron is possibly on the cards for them.
COL will have the measures of BRI key forwards, it's their small forwards that they need to keep a watch on. I thought Quaynor played a good checking role on Betts so he might get the job on CC, otherwise expect Maynard to play that accountable role down back to release Noble and Crisp further up the ground as their set up plays are important IMO.

Maybe we've traded him out and can't get him back in due to limited funds or trades.

Not necessarily, we've seen opposition MIDs focus more on trying to shark Gawn's HOs instead which has been quite effective to date. Outside maybe Petracca, the Dees don't have many dynamic moving MIDs at the CBs like say a TKelly/Shuey at the Eagles.
