5 wickets for Gazza and his 100th wicket in an Ashes Test at the G.
Could not be happier for him.

Boof Lehmann promise to many of these guys that this is time of your life has proven to be genius mental approach to these group of players.

I'm loving see Johnson, Haddin and Lyon playing at their best.

It was funny seeing Haddin get sucked in by wind today as keeper.
Bresnan got bowled but Haddin was appealing for something else...lol.. he must have thought bails come off due to windy day.
Then moments later he thought Pieterson must have tread on his stumps because bails come off.
The 2nd situation was the wind and first not...lol.. He got confused in both circumstances.

Looking very likely 4 nil this time tomorrow night.

Felt sorry for Coulter-Nile the other day taking catch on the G in front of big crowd but losing his bearings and ending up taking ball over the rope so the batsmen is not out. Hopefully his experience of Test cricket is more fun in future.

Vice was on finch. So hard to find news for the big bash.
Yeah, it is. That is another reason I'm happy I deleted my team last week as it was giving me the ****s not having enough info to really be able to make selection choices with any type of confidence of whom was likely to play. Kind of blessing in disguise I got given 5 donuts in Tassie game because now do not have to try to follow up last minute team selections and can just causally watch bits of games when I get time. Caught the end of game yesterday where Tait bowled great last over to win it for Adelaide. Felt sorry for Hussey not being able to get his side over the line but them the breaks. I actually have to admit I've started to warm to T20 cricket in last 6 months now it has become a bit more of a legitimate version of the game. I never thought I would embrace watching much of it but love hearing Viv and Flemo etc. on channel 10 coverage and great to see bits of talent of players like Lynn and Coulter-Nile that you normally would not see much of until they reach Test and one day international level.

It still at end of a day a bit of hit and giggle big bash but the teams now seriously want to win and creating true tournament feel to it.
Having it this time of year is real winner. See Test Cricket in day and a bit of hit and giggle slog feast at night with Viv bonus commentary to listen into.

I agree Oz very difficult to get a team together with how late teams are named. Anyway it is what it is, not much we can do about it.

Fair hitting display from Brisbane then, BBL record I think they just said.

Handy start from the hurricanes with 19 from the first over. Would be great to see the record taken down in the same game.

Wow record score chased down. Very entertaining game of T20!

Cutting 20 was a fail. If only he managed a couple of wickets in the last over :(

Glad I resisted the opportunity to put it on him, now got to decide which one of my 5 Stars players to give the big C to. Thinking the return of Faulkner may see Wright not required to bowl, or even Clive Rose omitted so that would leave me with a donut. Hopefully not though coz he is sort of their main spinner.

Good game tonight on telly, some big hits which was good and a number of changes in the momentum of the match.

BTW did anyone see the terrible umpiring decision which saw Travis Birt miss the ball by 3 or 4 inches and still get given out??? Just a shocker which completely changed the course of the match.

Absolute madness wasn't it. There was barely an appeal from the heat as well which was quite funny. Just a small murmur and bang, game changing wicket lol

I went hales C and put Whiteman on field. Having a SHOCKER!

Also, the fantasy scorers gave Hogg's runout to Mitch Marsh! So disappointing they can't even get the scoring right.... :(

If someone can shoot them an email about it, i'd appreciate that. I sent them an email and they said nothing was wrong, terrible!

Just terrible! I would not count the heat's reaction as an appeal. The umpire should never give something out (even if it is out), if the bowling side don't even appeal!

The Melbourne Stars XI: White, Bird, Faulkner, Hastings, Hodge, Hussey, Maxwell, Malinga, McKay, Wade, Wright, Handscomb (12th)
Dam I now have a donut this round with Clive Rose missing out, extremely strong Stars line-up sees Faulkner and Malinga come into the XI.
Wow!!! This side would hold it's own against most international teams.

I just read how the scores are rewarded and it states that 15 points for a runout goes to the final player affecting the runout.

I agree with you completely mate, that is a fault in their scoring system that should really see the player that makes the 'major play' in the runout being awarded the points (sorry I can't think of a better word to describe it :)). Unfortunately I don't think us emailing them will see the scoring system changed mid-comp.

Henriques didn't bowl well at all tbh and didn't take a wicket so you will certainly be hoping he piles a few on with the willow.
White not going great was a bit annoying, Wright was looking good until he came charging down the wicket (had him as skipper in the end and will do better than Finch so a win there I reckon). The Big Show Maxwell also smashed a few around for a quick fire 30 odd, was actually going to traded him out to Mitch Marsh next week but might stick with him, will have to see.

Yeah like you IDIG I am hoping Big Bird takes a few scalps, whilst Malinga just holds up an end :p Don't have him so a few low scores would be nice so he has a drop in price and then pick him up. Haha

Usually the two players who contribute to the runout get the +15. Shaun Marsh threw it to Brad Hogg, so Shaun Marsh and Hogg should get 15 each. Mitch Marsh was not even involved and got 15, it's just ridiculous how he gets points for something he didn't do. And also I have Hogg, so it's annoying to see him not get points when he actually got the runout lol...

Ah rito I see what you mean now. The completely wrong player has been awarded the points, yep thats no good at all.

The Big Show in for some big points tonight. A quick fire 35 odd at a strike rate of over 200, 3 wickets and a runout!!
And I was planning on trading him out after this week. Haha not going to happen now.
