I was just thinking I hope the players from the white ball squad are actually available for Round 1.

Quite a few have been in the UK hub , IPL/Shield hub and then going into quarantine and another hub.

They might need a week off.

Thanks for the updates everyone. Very hard to follow who’s going to be available when this year and I almost wonder why I bother, makes the bbl more exciting (frustrating) I guess! Currently going with this which I’m fairly happy with apart from no strikers but I still have a bit in the bank to help bring in Khan and I’m not sure who else is that desirable for them right now. Any advice appreciated.

Holt, (Phillipe)

D.Short, Stoinis, Maxwell, Jacks, Christian, (Bryant, Turner)

Morkle, NCN, Tye, Milne, Behrendorff (Wildermuth, Ahmad)

Firstly ... I don't mind the side ...

My comments would be:

- I started my initial side with Phillipe ... then downgraded him to Harper ... and then downgraded him to McDermott/Handscomb
- However if I had a choice without taking DGR's into account Harper/Banton are the ones I prefer ...

- To me Turner is an interesting one ..... previous form a lock ... recent form ??

Just had a look at Christian’s recent stats.

He played in the Vitality Blast for Notts, who won the title:

11 games
173 runs
29 average
144 SR
35 overs
9 wickets
31 average
7.94 ER
3 catches
Batted at 5 & 6

6 scores between 21 & 33

BB 4 fa in 1 game

so if he can score 20 + SR + a wkt per game he could be a 40-50 ish ppg which is probably pretty good for his price

King Carlos gets announced tomorrow

Thanks mate, great feedback. Turner just seemed underpriced and is more or less a place holder right now, just waiting to see if there’s any similar priced players that look good value, ditto Bryant and Wildermuth.
Phillipe is one I’m not sold on, keeper options looking fairly ordinary so far but might be worth a McDermott/Handscombe and upgrade a cheap bench option to a striker.
Edit: Banton would be the keeper I’m most keen on but expecting him not to be available early?

Please let me know any thoughts on the following idea.

$8500 itb

McDermott / Holt

DShort, Stoinis, Maxy, Jack's, Handscomb / MShort, Turner

Zampa, Fawad, NCN, Ellis, BStanlake / Renshaw, Noor

RD2
Outs : Maxy, Zampa, NCN
Ins : Khan, Neser, Briggs

Renshaw and Billy swap.

RD3
Outs : Handscomb, Briggs, Jacks
Ins : Wells, Carey, +1

MShort swap with Stoinis
-----
I am uncertain how to use E properly.
Eg if I use McDermott in first round,L and he fails, then I can choose Gotch, but if he succeeds, I'm thinking Holt for long term VC/C looping.

--------
Although all teams are not yet complete, am I on the right kind of idea at least?

Loophole works if the Emergency you select has played and got a good score you can field a donut and take the bench score instead. Added bonus is you can put the C on the donut player as well and take a high scoring VC score. If the emergency flops you can trade out the donut player if they haven’t played yet for another player who also hasn’t played yet.

Not going to comment on the players but by just looking at it you might be found short $ wise unless your MELS players as a collective go big ...
The E set up is actually quite simple .... and you are on the right track

Yes, I was thinking this too. It's in hope of not losing cash and Briggs coming in below $165.

All good ... went totally over my head and makes sense now :)
No worries , I should have probably specified.

Your homework for tonight is to adjust all last season's scores to the new scoring system

hahaha just kidding

although I am sure with your spreadsheets you could do it 😀

He did look cooked last year but didn’t get a very good run, can whack a ball and get a few cheeky wickets and catches. Probably first on the chopping block for me but with the compromised lists this year might be good value.
He does probably represent value , so to does Lynn , Khawaja , McDermott , Bryant , Turner , Tye , Behrendorff just to name a few.

I guess the million dollar question is do you pick those players from the start or play the fixtures for the first 3 rounds and chase players from the teams with DGR.

Tons of scoring potential with all of those double game players. I can never seem to get that right. If I go light all the doubles go big and if I have a heap of them I’ll be guaranteed they score less than 50.
