Please let me know any thoughts on the following idea.

$8500 itb

McDermott / Holt

DShort, Stoinis, Maxy, Jack's, Handscomb / MShort, Turner

Zampa, Fawad, NCN, Ellis, BStanlake / Renshaw, Noor

RD2
Outs : Maxy, Zampa, NCN
Ins : Khan, Neser, Briggs

Renshaw and Billy swap.

RD3
Outs : Handscomb, Briggs, Jacks
Ins : Wells, Carey, +1

MShort swap with Stoinis
-----
I am uncertain how to use E properly.
Eg if I use McDermott in first round,L and he fails, then I can choose Gotch, but if he succeeds, I'm thinking Holt for long term VC/C looping.

--------
Although all teams are not yet complete, am I on the right kind of idea at least?
Not sure why you would trade Briggs out in Round 3 when he has a DGR 🤔

Fawad is interesting

I would back Stoinis over MShort

No worries , I should have probably specified.

Your homework for tonight is to adjust all last season's scores to the new scoring system

hahaha just kidding

although I am sure with your spreadsheets you could do it 😀
Well I can say straight up that what you proposed won't occur (from me) ...

Why ... well unlike maybe @Beg2Differ and @THCLT I don't keep those type of records ... sure I keep some others but not in that type of detail ..

He does probably represent value , so to does Lynn , Khawaja , McDermott , Bryant , Turner , Tye , Behrendorff just to name a few.

I guess the million dollar question is do you pick those players from the start or play the fixtures for the first 3 rounds and chase players from the teams with DGR.
I had Lynn in over Christian until recently and quite likely I’ll swap them back. Not sure I trust Khawaja, Lynn or Christian but they’re all looking like value. I’ll be going with Tye and dorff to start with.

I guess the thing with them is their starting price is low enough that they shouldn't hurt you too much after 2 games , so probably could be obtainable in Round 3 if needed.

Think I will play the % game and start the Stars , Hurricanes & Strikers.

Not enough DGR this season so probably need to take advantage of them.

Batted low for the Renegades though.

Henriques @ 4 , Silk @ 5 mmm

Interesting needs to get 20+ to get SR points.

I might just put him on my watch list.
I don’t know why they bother with Silk. Has a strike rate of 119, which for a middle order batsman is simply not good enough.

Strikes at 78 in list A, which to me confirms he either doesn’t get it or isn’t up to it.

He can be a professional fielder if desired. Give someone else the opportunity.

This is basically my thinking.

I think I need to do some calcs to see how much someone like Christian or Khawaja increases in price if they go 2 or 3 x 50.

I actually like Silk , think he plays his role well.

I guess he is the anchor , he gets out they could crumble.

Doesn't often lose his wicket , they normally play 6 bowlers as well and regardless of what I read about Abbott's batting I still wouldn't trust him.

I guess if they are 0/100 after 10 they can sub him out.

Yeah I really need to set out a strategy to target these double game rounds better. It’s going to be an interesting season. Lots of ghost ships incoming after the first few rounds. Lynn, DC and Usman would’ve been almost the first 3 you pick in seasons gone by.

Everything's going blurry... So back to the drawing board tomorrow 😃

Tye and Dorf are interesting cases ... both under priced and coming back from an injury ...

- My thoughts are that the first price rise is the lowest so you can wait and pick at least one of them round 2 if need be ...
- But to be able to do this IMO you need to be already set to go with at least 2 of your preferred round 2 players ...

Round 3

In: Carey

the other 2 can be corrective trades or starting building the Bank for bringing in Renegades/Sixers over Round 4-6 who have some seriously high starting prices

So by my records if DC goes at an average of 50:
- First two games he will priced at ~111k
- If he holds that for another game it will be ~114k

So by my records if Khawaja goes at an average of 50:
- First two games he will priced at ~119k
- If he holds that for another game it will be ~122k

Quite a few other variables will come into play but those are my estimates give or take $500 for rounding purposes ...

Just had a recheck and thought scorchers had a double early on but they don’t so back to the drawing board there. Might still keep one of them.
