872 in the end! About par I reckon....considering I had short and Jacks on and I looped Ingram DC first game off the bench, the idea was there, but if I had it the other way around in could have started better.

Went Zamp C lost 43 point there as Maxy easy choice.

Last minute today I changed S Marsh to Ferg as I had Scott on the Pine and as wasn’t named used the cash off Marsh to get Worrall instead hoping he bowls 4 overs and can snag a few and make $ so lost another 8 points but I think the right move so was happy.

Great start to some as expected, plenty of time to turn around a rough start for all but don’t stuff it up again this round or your really chasing tale 😂

So who missed Round 1 and could be in their Teams Best XI

This is based on my own research and I am certainly not a expert , hopefully it might prove valuable to some.

My advice would be to check the fixtures , squads , International dates etc etc that clash with the BBL all on Page 1

I haven't used players from the Test Squad and have used the 16th as the date for the Australia A players which could be wrong 😀

Brisbane Heat

Gregory - Round 4
Morkel (inj) - Round 3
Mujeeb - Round 2
Steketee (Australia A) - Round 3
Wildermuth (Australia A) - Round 3

Hobart Hurricanes

Lamichanne - Round 5
Malan - Round 3
McDermott (Australia A) - Round 3
Paul - Round 3

Melbourne Renegades

Ahmad - Round 3
Boyce (injured) - tbc
Nabi - Round 3
Sutherland (Australia A) - Round 3
Tahir - tbc
Wasim - tbc

Melbourne Stars

Coleman (injured) - tbc
Khan - Round 2
Maddinson (Australia A) - Round 2
Pooran - Round 4
Rauf - tbc

Perth Scorchers

Agar (injured) - tbc
Livingstone - Round 4
Roy - Round 4

Sydney Sixers

Ball - Round 4
Bird (injured) - tbc
Henriques (injured) - tbc
Holder - Dec 20 , 26 , 29

Sydney Thunder

Billings - Round 4
Milne (injured) - Round 3
Sangha , J (injured) - tbc

Note

* waiting on Denly to be confirmed

* waiting on Pakistan to announce their Test Squad v New Zealand (Rauf , Wasim)

* waiting on Afghanistan to announce their ODI Squad v Ireland.

Again I am not accepting responsibility so I would be paying very close attention to final XI's especially OS players.

So now with hindsight who's the best cashie? Not David for mine, Bazeley / Hardie looked really good but how long has he got?
I was pretty keen on Hardie, expect he'll play until Agar is back whilst there's obvious question marks on the rest of the cash cows, Wood is a certainty to be dropped for Ur Rahman you would imagine, Kuhnemann may play alongside Ur Rahman until Swepson is released and make some good coin but I wouldn't put my house on it, David cant survive when you add Malan and McDermott surely so he's a no for me, Bartlett although bowled well wouldnt be ahead of Morkel and Wildermuth so don't think he's ideal either, Hardie or Sangha looks the best to me.

Not sure what I'd be doing if I didn't have Handscomb benched alongside him, personally can just field Handscomb and use DPP and trade Fletcher to a batsmen.
I think my main options are keeping Fletcher and copping a likely price drop, rolling the dice on Carey playing game 2B, or bringing in someone like Handscomb for a round or more, but sacrificing a Striker in (with two DGRs) in another position to do that.
