What are you doing benching Weatherald at AO when he is opening ?

mmm so many decisions to make and that horrible Marvel pitch for batsman.

I am hoping for a nice score from Roy , Wade I think can wait a game for a round , seen Malan a few times mentioned now by people.

Long time since I did Maths either.

Can you go Roy - > Sams (or Bison if not named) this round to get Weatherald's score and then have a look at Malan/Wade this round ?
Only got the 1 trade, so will most likely go Malan, then get Wade next week lol. Then I'll have Short, Wade, McDermott and Malan, too many eggs in the 1 basket.

Why you do dis, Herbie?

Haha j/k always good to hear a thought coming from a different angle. Maybe I just play it safe and bring in Philippe. Seems such a generic move for this week though
Because it is you , and I love how your mind works and ticks over.

Tick , tick , tick

Almost sounds like Watto , Watto , Watto

Seriously though I do enjoy reading your posts and how you think and strategise about the fantasy game.

I just think with so many Sixers bowling options and a tight schedule they may rotate some of them.

So who are your other Bench Emergencies ?

Does trading in a onfield donut to get Stoinis VC & E score affect your team too much for Round 12 - >

Can you post your team ?
The biggest problem is putting a donut on field means I either have to take Finch's score or cop 0 for that player which undoes the benefits of the Stoinis VC..

But here is my team - hopefully you can see some great moves! (1 trade and 81k in the bank.. couldn't get than in the grab)

Yeah you have spooked me enough into agreeing with you. That’s the beauty of this place, so many different opinions and you get to mull over something you never would have considered otherwise. That IS a lot of fast bowlers, and with internationals and rep players I can’t see any of them being dropped permanently.

I’m starting to think Lamichhane at Marvel may be a good POD option, he is too good not to turn it around eventually and it seems the perfect pitch for him to do it on. 110k and only 2% owned (an Ironhawk wet dream). Penciling him in for a 5fa. Not too greedy? :geek:

He was one in my sights but went for Swepson, as I liked his form in the Shield a few months ago, and he was just within my range - last chance to get him. His form didn't carry over unfortunately.

Why would they have given 30 for 100? It’s like saying that because my bowler went for under 4 an over, I should get the bonus ER points for under 5, 6, 7 and 8 as well.
I agree with the logic behind your view, but the wording of the runs bonus is ambiguous, whereas for ER it is not. I’m happy enough with the 20 (total), but there was some discussion that it could be 30.

Would get Jhye straight back next week (hopefully for a fair bit cheaper)

If Scorchers bowl first i’ll just lock in Jhye C, and maybe trade out Livo to Boland/Sandeep/Cutting.

If Schorchers Bat first my other option could be DC to Cutting and captain Cutsy with no Sams (cant afford abbot). Feel that is very risky tho
Tough spot to be in as I feel as though those trades are all quite sideways but understand you need a POD in order to climb up the rankings. At the same time that POD could turn out to be a negative.

Go with your gut, it’s got you to where you are at the moment. Good luck with whichever way you jump 👍

I was close to picking Swepson too. May still work out for you since he plays at Marvel next round. I try not to judge my new recruits by the single under par performance since they could score 120 next round and totally justify the pick. It’s why I am not mad at Travis Head ....yet.

I guess it comes down to if you trust your C selection to significantly outscore the Stoinis VC option (+ then Finch like you said)

and then whether you want to upgrade Inglis or just do Sams to a Green , LNS type or not to then give you $$$ to fix Richardson next round

Marvel pitch might not favour batsman , so you could possibly wait on Wade , but then how much $$$ could Inglis lose ?

Marvel seems to be favouring slow bowlers so Short could get 1-2

fwiw I don't own Short or Wade , didn't VC Stoinis and have Jhye as my caotain

The question is essentially do Behrendorrf and Short score more than 103 between them because Short would be my other captain
Personally I would take 103 over Dorf plus Short without checking matchups. I don’t really rate Dorf as a wicket taker any more (which the stats largely back up) and Short is very up and down this year. I think averages would back up the option of taking 103, so it’s arguably a question of whether matchups, role change or form overcome that.

Yeah tough call.. genuinely stumped. I think I back a C in as they only need to score 44+ to come out ahead. But then the trade.. Inglis BE of 58 means he probably loses some but not stacks.. Sams to a Green type gives me a tasty warchest of cash for 3 strong trades next week. Suffer for points a tad though..
decisions decisions..

Just realised I have 7 playing in the 1st game and none in the 2nd, that's usually a recipe for disaster.
Will still have all 5 of my Scorchers left (fielding 4 , looping Inglis).

Amazing how quickly trade plans change , was always going to trade 2 out if not 3 of them this round.

Just a thought....
Swap Sams & Ahmed, C on Sams & take Hatz's 44 & Stoinus VC.
Could also trade Sams for Perth Green to get some cash for next Rd.
