Wow - thanks for all the links @Connoisseur - a fantastic effort to bring this all together for us.

I have adapted my Team Planner that I use for SC for this comp. It's a bit rough but hopefully useful for someone. It is the current players and their pricing from the ShePlays site. It also players 2020 round scores, totals and averages (using last year's ShePlays scores). That should help give an idea of how they performed. Hopefully it's an easier way of selecting players and then you can update on the site. (I have tried my best to make sure the past years figures relate to the correct player - but I offer no guarantees!).

Here are some insights into the Melbourne girls that hopefully may be useful.

Karen Paxman (Mid) $55,000 – just a star!... and I’m surprised to see her under $60,000, but I just couldn’t get her in my team. The others at $60,000 were scoring better. Really a watch and see.

Tyla Hanks (Fwd) $40,000 – stepped up last year and I believe she will take another step up this year. Looking set for a lot more midfield time and she is a classy player.

Daisy Pearce (Mid) $45,000 – a difficult one. Dropped from her mid role last year and became the general of the backline. Scored OK but can’t really see her really improving too much on last year’s scores.

Lauren Pearce (Ruc) $40,000 – missed a lot of last year through Injury (played 2 games) – but was All Australian Ruck the previous year. Not sure how that will translate to scoring but a definite consideration for a ruck spot.

Alyssa Bannan (Fwd) $30,000 – an early draft pick last year. Strong key forward and I’m fairly confident she will be in our best 22. Definitely wait for team announcements

Eliza McNamara (Mid) $20,000 – very athletic running player. With all of our player movement last year, I think she should be set to see game time – with some of that in the midfield. Again wait for team announcements.

Happy to take queries on other Melb players.

Fantastic advice and great for newcomers like myself. Already locked in K Paxman, Pearce is my 5th mid but the most likely to be changed to afford other selections.

Appreciate your thoughts on T Cunningham (Fwd) $20,000?

Wow - hadn't noticed that. She's a steal at $20,000. (She was $40,000 last year). I think she played injured for a bit of it - and had a varied scoring range (73,15,23,96,103,21,41). Can take a big mark. It will be interesting to see how they play Cunningham, Zanker and Bannan. But at $20,000 - I think she's too good to not have in your team.

Thank you. Looking through your document and I have made a few changes.
Out: Bella (GC ruck), D Pearce, J Matin and A Williams
In: G Seymour (Rich ruck), G Gee, S Allan and M Boyd

G Gee= 104 avg in 2020 and is priced at $35,000
S Allan= 100 avg in 2020 and is priced at $20,000

Catherine Svarc (Bris) $45,000
Chelsea Randall (Ade) $40,000
Jess Duffin (NTH) $35,000
Sarah Allan (Ade) $20,000
Shae Sloane (Melb) $15,000
Ruby Svarc (Bris) $15,000

Mid
Kiara Bowers (Freo) $60,000
Jasmine Garner (NTH) $60,000
Ash Riddell (NTH) $55,000
Madison Prespakis (Carl) $55,000
Erin Phillips (Ade) $40,000
Tarni Brown (Coll) $20,000
Eliza McNamara (Melb) $20,000

Ruc
Lauren Pearce (Melb) $40,000
Brooke Brown (NTH) $15,000

Fwd
Tyla Hanks (Melb) $40,000
Sarah Perkins (GCS) $35,000
Phoebe McWilliams (Geel) $30,000
Tegan Cunningham (Melb) $20,000
Madeleine Boyd (Geel) $20,000
Jacqueline Vogt (Stk) $15,000

$5,000 left in the bank.

And the weird thing with this comp is not worrying about cash generation. Prices remain the same throughout the year (well they did last year anyway). So it really is just nailing those who score well.

Sensational work mate. Only thing I can see (which was actually picked up on another site) is that Jayde Van Dyk is in the player pool twice. The CAR version needs to be deleted.

ShePlays admin pmd me on Twitter so yes the Carlton JVD should be culled really soon. I also requested them to push the 615pm lockout time back to 700pm so we have time to review Round 1 teams (they always close off before the first match).

https://womens.afl/news/56937/eagles-top-draft-pick-to-be-thrown-in-the-deep-end-in-season-opener

WEST Coast draftee Bella Lewis will be thrown straight into the "deep end" against Adelaide on Saturday, with coach Daniel Pratt confident the midfielder is ready to go.

Lewis was the first player selected in the WA pool of last year's NAB AFLW Draft and the hard-working midfielder has impressed in her first pre-season at the top level.

Pratt said the Claremont product would take on a prominent midfield role against the Crows at Mineral Resources Park as the Eagles look to support key duo Emma Swanson and Dana Hooker.

"She's a straight-in type of player," Pratt said on Wednesday.

"She's one of those girls who has played a lot of footy and she's natural in her style; her kicking and running and tackling looks very similar to how the guys play.

"She'll get thrown in the deep end and see how she goes."

Apparently all teams to be announced the night before their game.

Therefore Saints and Bulldogs are named tomorrow night, Gold, Coast, Melbourne, West Coat, Adelaide are named on Friday night and Richmond, Brisbane, Geelong, North Melbourne, Fremantle and GWS are all named all on Saturday night.

A difficult set of logistics to navigate without a rolling lockout. I hope they do push back the Thursday to 700pm but now there is only 1 pther game we would know by then anyway.

FYI the Dogs have announced Jess Fitzgerald and Sarah Hartwig to debut but no mentions made of Isabelle Pritchard so if she is in your current team be prepared to make other plans if it eventuates that she is an emergency or misses altogether.

Thoroughly enjoying playing around with lineups and looking forward to catching a few games this season.

My most recent side (which includes Bowers):

All cash used. Is there any glaring omissions or players under an injury cloud that I should know about?

Think you are safe. Paxman copped a cork so just look for that mainly.
