Not sure if this has been posted already but this is a pretty handy guide for this year‘s rookies, particularly given the absence of game stats for 2020. Probably more valuable for draft leagues but still some decent insights in there.

“He’s been going really well. We have played in little intra-club scratch matches of 20 and 30 minutes and he’s showing really good signs. You can understand why he’s an early pick, his reading of the ball in flight is outstanding. Like most of these kids he is still learning the game. It’s not for me to say who is in the selection frame (for Round 1) but if you looked at his match play last week you would say he’s ready to play. Then you look at other training stuff and he’s a little green and now quite ready. He is quite athletic and tall and can play a multitude of roles but he’s well suited to that mid-tier defender who can read the ball in flight and hopefully he is a guy who can turn over a lot of the footy in the way James Sicily plays.”

Haven't seen Flynn Perez mentioned anywhere but at 193k DEF he's also got to be in play. Looked a superb talent at the end of last year and would be hoping he'd lock down one of the rebounding defender or wing roles at North. Kind of player I could see averaging mid 70s without really having to do anything special.
Be interesting to see where he lines up and how he is used in the preseason.

Mentioned in the ruck thread that Treacy is a chance for round 1. If this comes to fruition then we will need to look at an alternative floating donut in order to utilise the VC loophole and can also have the option at looping a player on our benches as emergency. Might even be some coaches who opt for two FD’s so might find the following useful even if Treacy doesn’t play round 1.
So what are our options? Well, if we’re looking at $102,400 options then there aren’t many. We also only have 6 rounds of the fixture to work with too.
To work out who will be best I’ll use a simple number system whereby the first game of the round is number 1 and the last game of the round is number 9. So essentially the highest score is our man.
A. Newchurch ADE (MID/FWD): 4, 3, 3, 7, 7, 7 for a total of 31
B. Chugg COLL (DEF/FWD) or Ginnivan COLL (MID/FWD): 2, 1, 1, 6, 2, 8 for a total of 20
C. Fyfe GC (DEF/MID) or Oea GC (MID/FWD): 9, 6, 3, 5, 3, 3 for a total of 29
D. Saunders HAW (MID/FWD): 5, 7, 9, 9, 8, 7 for a total of 45
So a clear winner here with Hawthorn’s Josh Saunders as the best option for a floating donut if Treacy plays round 1 or if you’re looking for a second donut.

If you want them to make $150k in decent time, it’s a bit higher than that:
(1) Divide their price by $5,000*
(2) Add 35**
So for Philipps it would be more like 75 (74.6).
* Step 1 gives what they need to average to maintain their price through the season, considering a falling Magic Number (tending towards c. $5,000).
** Step 2 gives the additional points needed to make c. $150,000, in decent time. You could break the 35 down into 30+5. The 30 is simply the $150,000 targeted gain, divided by the $5,000 Magic Number from step 1. If you stopped there, you’d have what they need to average to make c. $150,000 by the end of the season. Adding the extra 5 points simply reflects the fact that the last $25,000 (5 points x $5,000 Magic Number) of price gain tends to come very slowly - so it’s like a buffer to ensure that the cash is made in reasonable time.
