Have now completely changed my structure
Lloyd in over oliver
H Young to d5 as the rookies just don’t look like they’ll show down back
I'm sensing the wind shifting as well with this rule giving time and space to defenders to run into space and launch into kicks. SC points galore... Laird into the mids and another Def premo in maybe?

I think Chapman holds down an on field rookie spot with maybe Gould and Laurie on the bench?

Do you see Highmore & Koschitzke as options ?

Just did a re-jig and have Chapman and Highmore on field, Gould and Laurie as placeholders on the bench. Don't know much about Koschitzke to be honest, need to do some research.

I can't really fit Hayden Young as some others have done. I already have Heppel just above him and Ziebell just below in price and you start to thread the needle with too many picks in that 250-350k range.

My forward line is Heeney + rookies now :p

Does he break into that defence for round one though? Hamling, Pearce and Young all as good as locks into that side that weren't there for the most part of last year (I think Pearce is fit at the moment right?)

Highmore yes, Koschitzke I'd be very nervous fielding.

I am not confident of any rookie until I see the team sheets

Chapman @ D5 + 3 x $ 123,900.00 at the moment

Chugg being named Round 1 would be very nice.

Heeney locked away at F1

Heppell now is my M7 , might need to adjust their although I can't see too many of Collier-Dawkins , Mead , Stephens , Valente etc being named.

A few $ 117 k players getting talked about.

Might need to look at Phillips/Campbell again.

If I lost Heppell , I could probably go Cummins , Young or Hamill at D5.

Now what would removing Gawn or Grundy allow me to do ? (Just joking)

Need 2 on the bench so if Koschitzke is named , might just be a case of taking him (or anyone else)

Hopefully Bailey Laurie finds his way into the Dees side.
But yes, it could purely come down to having enough live bodies down there.
Or find a DEF Floating Donut if Treacy and Flynn are playing, and we have surplus FWD rookies. I don't really like it, but it could be an option.

I’ve flirted with laird/Dusty at m3 in my 13 premo side for most of the ore season whilst running Whitfield Stewart l Mac Docherty
But with Whitfields injury and the talk of all this scoring with the new rule I like the mix of Lloyd Stewart short lmac h young highmore

Laird in the guts
Makes it easy to have Whitfield as my target to finish off the defense

Still too early to tell , but think it's a case of writing out a list of possibles and checking them off against team annoucements and if they are named find a spot for them.

If Treacy is named was thinking of using Saunders as the donut but maybe a D/M would be better or a cheap D that is injured.

Not sure how GC work as VC/C but isn't Thompson still injured ?

More thinking to do.

The good part of the forward rookies and lack of mid rookies we can push cockatoo Macrae and e smith into the midfield
If brockman for you guys and spicer get games it gives us heaps of choices
Can’t wait for the pre season round

Be surprised if both Cockatoo & Smith start for Brisbane , Cockatoo has played 2 games in 3 seasons so not banking on him staying on the park for that long either.

Called it

Lazzaro as the early, no one has mentioned him at all out of nowhere rookie. Good signs there.

Also called it! Do like it for him, almost forces him to compete (an issue) and then really exposes his strengths as a position. Needs a fair bit of physical development still but he could be a pretty dynamic player in that role. Sometimes football is paradoxical in it's nature where a player is best suited to a position that on face value makes no sense as it actually disables their negative traits. Stephenson for example when given free space will try and expand it further but when you force him into the phone box he has to embrace it.
Fair Call.....but still looks a bit light.?

Cockatoo will play round 1 no issues this pre season
If they could get McCarthy right I think nakia will surprise you this year
Agree on smith
Macrae and cockatoo though I’m 100% will play

What do you expect Cockatoo to score out of interest? Looking at his previous games, I'm not sure why he is the most popular pick. Lots of sub 50 scores, a few 70's and 2 90 scores from 30+ games. I guess he is the most likely "rookie" to play in the forwards (along with Rowe), but I'm definitely not 100% on him at this point - there should be better options available. No idea who at this point which is the concern!
